Maximum Lipotropics claims the supplement is a “formula that works.” This is the case for every fat burner on the market, but with more than 5,000 diet supplement and product reviews under our belt, we know this claim is not always substantiated with a proven ingredient list. The ingredients listed in the product description for Maximum Lipotropics looks eerily similar to other products we have reviewed. There is one proven ingredient and one stimulant. No amounts are listed for any of the ingredients.

List of Ingredients

  • L-Carnitine
  • Choline Bitartrate
  • Inositol
  • Betaine
  • Methionine
  • Chromium Polynicotinate
  • Gymnema Sylvestre
  • Guarana

Product Features

When we looked through the product description for Maximum Lipotropics, we found mention of the product containing 40 mg of caffeine. We’re not sure if that is per dose or total consumed per day. There are 60 capsules in the bottle, so the dieter could take one capsule twice a day or two capsules once per day. If there is just 40 mg of caffeine per dose, the dieter is not likely to feel the increased energy if they drink coffee or caffeinated beverages regularly.

Chromium is a good addition to any weight loss supplement as it is known to help control blood glucose response so dieters don’t feel as hungry between meals. Chromium is not the only proven weight loss ingredient, however. There is more to weight loss than appetite control and that’s where proven fat burners come into play.

The remaining ingredients in the formula are supposed to metabolize fat and break down fat. This is true, to an extent. Many of the ingredients are commonly found in foods so they work naturally to this end in the body, but taking more in supplement form is not proven to increase fat metabolization.

Dieters have tons of options to choose from when they want to take a fat burner and this product is not on the top of the proven list. The ingredient list is lacking a proven fat burner and none of the amounts are listed for the ingredients. Dieters can choose from green tea and caffeine to boost metabolism, but this formula contains neither. There is a good chance the guarana on the label is standardized for caffeine, but the company does not bother to list that fact if that is the case.
