Modifast is a dietary product that comes in the form of a shake. This weight management supplement is marketed toward both women and men who desire assistance with weight loss. The official Modifast website is not presented in English format, since this is a product of the Netherlands. Unfortunately, it’s difficult to determine if any customer testimonials are provided. Modifast is essentially a low calorie shake that is claimed to help with weight loss by acting as a meal replacement. There are various flavors available such as chocolate, strawberry, orange, banana and vanilla. According to the official website, a one-month supply of Modifast would cost around $340 in American currency. There are no free trial samples available at this time.

Some of the primary components incorporated into Modifast shakes are Chromium (assists with building lean muscle mass) Vitamin B1, Egg Protein, Niacin, Milk (strengthens bones), Vitamin A, Vitamin D, Vitamin E, Biotin, Zinc, Calcium, Vitamin C and Iron. It’s difficult to determine whether or not any particular exercise regimen is recommended with Modifast shakes. There doesn’t appear to be a 100% money-back guarantee posted on the official website. No actual clinical proof is offered to support the effectiveness of Modifast.

I used modifast in 2002 where I brought it from a chemist in Tasmania, I was not able to find time to exercise with it unfortunately, but still lost all the weight I had gained while pregnant. It was the best product I have ever used. Now I’m trying to find it again as I’m struggling to hold my weight down. I don’t eat much but have a terrible metabolism and modifast kick starts the body. Is there anywhere left in Australia that still sells it?

I just completed the first stage (2-3 weeks) of Modifast Intensive and lost 5 kilos. I did it for 3 weeks. It takes getting used to, and I ate raw vegetables in between meals if I was hungry, plus 1 cup of clear bouillon between meals as well. This helped me keep it up. The puddings are very tasty (satisfies the sweet tooth) and quite filling. In stage 2 you replace one Modifast meal with a light, healthy meal (1 week) and in stage 3 you replace two Modifast meals with light meals. I decided to start with replacing breakfast, then lunch, since I normally eat too much at dinner. This diet makes you very aware of your food intake, and the gradual replacement of meals is pretty helpful.

It’s results in drastic weight loss in several weeks! It helps to break bad nutrition habits and restart a better nutrition pattern in the last pause of the diet!

Is Modifast still available in the UK? I was on this product 28 years ago and I lost over 9 stones at the time. If so, where can I get it and how much does it cost?

I tested modifast when I was living in Sweden – where it is sold at the pharmacies. It works and is even good tasting – which I can not say for competing products.
