What You Should Know
Nature’s Plus Skinny Mini is the name of a series of products and supplements by the Nature’s Plus company, including a supplement, shake and bar. The most popular Skinny Mini product is the weight loss supplement. There are only a few ingredients, some of which are branded. Some of the ingredients in the Nature’s Plus Skinny Mini supplement are thought to cause negative side effects and others are only effective in certain amounts.
List of Ingredients
Vitamin B12, Chromium.
Proprietary Skinny Mini Herbal Blend: Guarana Seed, Spirulina, Cacao Fruit and Green Tea.
Rhodiola, Citrimax, Forslean, Conjugated Linoleic Acid and Bioperine.
The herbal blend is the heart of Nature’s Plus Skinny Mini. There is no caffeine in the blend, but there is a stimulant – guarana. Guarana does not have the clinical backing of caffeine so the dieter will not feel as comfortable taking this stimulant as they would caffeine. However, guarana will increase heart rate just like caffeine.
Cacao fruit and green tea also contain stimulants. Green tea has the clinical backing most dieters are looking for, but only in certain quantities. The dieter has no idea how much green tea is included in this supplement.
Citrimax is a huge concern for dieters. Many supplement companies are pulling products containing Citrimax or other forms of garcinia cambogia and hydroxycitric acid. There could be a link between this ingredient and liver damage. Dieters with liver disease should never take Nature’s Plus Skinny Mini supplements.
Conjugated linoleic acid has some clinical backing in the athletic community. It reduces fat stores and increases lean muscle. The offset in weight between the two means the scale will not move but the dieter will have a healthier body composition.
Bioperine is a fancy name for black pepper. Black pepper helps other ingredients dissolve more quickly and more efficiently.

Nature’s Plus is a huge name in the supplement community. We are not too happy with this supplement as it contains stimulants but not the proven stimulant for boosting metabolism. We are also a bit concerned with the garcinia cambogia and suggest dieters choose a different weight loss supplement with safe and effective ingredients. There is no sense in risking negative side effects just to lose a few pounds.
