Perfectly Petite Review
What You Should Know
Perfectly Petite is an all-natural energy shot with the power of green tea and guarana. The company behind the supplement, Biotech, does a fantastic job of explaining how each of the ingredients works in the body, but unfortunately just because the body uses vitamins and ingredients does not mean increasing your intake will increase function. There is also the issue of multiple stimulants and a potentially dangerous ingredient.
List of Ingredients
- Vitamin B1
- Vitamin C
- Vitamin B2
- Vitamin B5
- Green Tea Extract
- Vitamin B6
- Vitamin B12
- Garcinia Cambogia
- Elderberry Extract
All of the vitamins found in Perfectly Petite are commonly found in your morning multivitamin. There is no reason to take more B vitamins or more vitamin C if you take a morning multivitamin, so these ingredients are redundant, at best.
The real stars of the show are green tea extract, caffeine, guarana and garcinia cambogia. Green tea extract is a source of caffeine and EGCG – both proven to boost metabolism and help dieters lose more weight when taken as part of a healthy lifestyle that includes a healthy diet and exercise program. Guarana is a source of caffeine and caffeine is just more of the same.
Garcinia cambogia deserves a discussion all its own. There is some controversy surrounding this ingredient as reports of liver damage caused Hydroxycut, a major supplement company, to pull select products from the market. All pulled supplements were reformulated and garcinia cambogia was left out of the new products. While Hydroxycut never openly admitted it was the garcinia cambogia that caused the problem, there is an assumed connection due to the reformulation. If there is any chance garcinia cambogia causes liver damage dieters should skip supplements containing the ingredient.
- There is a dedicated website for Perfectly Petite.
- The energy shot comes in a cute package.
- All ingredients are listed on the official website.
- There is a small fan-base for the supplement.
- Garcinia cambogia may not be a safe ingredient.
- Contains multiple sources of caffeine.
- The total amount of caffeine is not revealed, even in the FAQs section.
Perfectly Petite may be a cute energy shot, but the company lacks transparency. Supplement companies can keep all ingredients in proprietary blends to hide the exact formula from other companies, but ingredients like green tea, caffeine and sources of caffeine should always be listed with total amounts.
