PLX is a protein supplement that claims to help users move from potential to realization. According to the product description, the ingredients in the formula are chosen with the sole purpose of protein isolates, fiber and nitrogen to bring everything together in just the right way to support muscle growth, recovery and potential realization. These are some huge claims for a protein powder.

List of Ingredients

Ingredients:

  • Iso Chill 93
  • BiPro 97
  • Hydrolysate
  • Alacen 895
  • Alapro
  • Inulin
  • Cellulose
  • Xanthan Gum
  • Carageenan

  • Flax Seed Oil Powder
  • Lecithin
  • Cocoa
  • Acesulfame Potassium
  • Sucralose

Product Features

PLX is the source of five different protein isolates digested at different intervals by the body. Short-digestion times are perfect for feeding the muscle right now. Longer digestion times keep the muscle fed well after the workout ends and into the recovery phase. According to PLX, if you intake only whey isolates, common in protein supplements, you are leaving the muscle in a catabolic state after the whey is digested.

Each serving of PLX supplies 50 grams of protein. Those 50 grams account for 200 of the 230 calories per serving. The remaining 30 calories are sourced from carbohydrates and fat. This is a low-carb, low-fat protein shake, ideal for dieting, but dieters do not need 50 grams of protein without added vitamins and nutrients. PLX could prove useful for a last-minute meal replacement if no other option is available, but it will not provide the vitamin profile associated with high-protein supplements designed as meal replacements.

There is no means of ordering PLX from the official website. Most companies will offer online ordering directly from the manufacturer or at least a Buy Now button that takes the dieter to the site where an order can be placed, but we found neither in the product description for PLX.

Advantages

  • Supplies a lead, low-carbohydrate, low-fat dose of protein.
  • Five different proteins are used to maximize results.
  • PLX provides 50 grams of protein per serving.

Disadvantages

  • Does not contain a vitamin profile similar to a meal replacement shake.
  • Should only be used as a protein supplement.

Conclusion

The calorie content of PLX may be a concern for dieters, but taking a half dose results in an intake of 25 grams of protein for 115 calories. That is the perfect protein source, especially for dieters attempting to cut out high-calorie proteins and add more fruits and vegetables. PLX is not available for sale from the official website and the company appears to be from Canada, so it may not be available in the US.
