Probese is a dietary supplement created by Legere Pharmaceuticals for weight loss. The product purports to suppress the appetite by supplying vitamins, minerals and a bulking agent to create a sense of fullness. It also contains Chromium to assist in metabolism of sugar and other carbohydrates. The key features defined for Probese include appetite control, reduction in cravings for carbohydrates, stimulation of fat burning hormones and increase in rate of metabolism.

Ingredients

Preventics.com lists the active ingredients as Sodium Carboxymethylcellulose, Vitamin A, Vitamin D, Thiamine, Riboflavin, Vitamin C, Niacinamide, Iron, Phosphorus Calcium and Chromium in a base of trace minerals

Product Features

Probese is a supplement designed to promote bulk. Fiber takes longer for the body to digest; in a sense, tricking the stomach into thinking it is full. Probese supplies a fiber section called Sodium Carboxymethylcellulose, also used to thicken foods. The Chromium provides a stabilizing formula to keep blood glucose levels manageable. When Chromium is not available in sufficient quantity, the result is a need for sweets and other carbohydrates. The current retail price of this product is approximately 20.00 dollars for 30 capsules. The recommended dosage is not listed.

Advantages

  • Wide distribution to online retail sources
  • Added minerals and vitamins needed as part of a daily supplement, such as Calcium and Vitamin C
  • Expert reviews are positive.

Disadvantages

  • No scientific support
  • Lacks FDA approval
  • While expert reviews seem positive, there are remarkably few consumer reports about the effectiveness of Probese.

Conclusion

Probese has a comprehensive list of ingredients. The most crucial elements are the bulking agent Sodium Carboxymethylcellulose and Chromium. The bulk in this product will make the body feel full, and Chromium is proven to aid in insulin stability. There is nothing in the ingredient list that appears harmful if taken in moderation. Dietary supplements rarely have scientific backing or FDA approval, but the lack of customer reviews of Probese is daunting. Effective products will usually get tongues wagging on the Internet. Probese has the components for fiber and appetite control, but not the support to prove its worthiness.

I love Probese. It was prescribed to me as part of a VLC diet becasue it does NOT contain any stimulants, as I have Mitral Valve Prolaspe and stimulants are detrimental. It works. Perhaps there are few consumer reviews becuase many of us think it is only available with a presrciption. I didn’t know it was avialable over the counter, but am happy to know that indeed it is!

Looks like Tonya didn’t keep her word! But I can tell you this thing flat out works! I have taken it for the last 6 weeks and I don’t crave sweets or carbs and I have lost 13 lbs. This is a lot for me because I am not that overweight and am only 5 feet tall. (Very short for a male.) I have not really combined this with exercise, so this is working. It helps me to keep my calorie intake below 2000 calories a day.
