The company has been in business since 1989 and was originally called Crystal Labs. In 1993, the company changed its name to Prolab Nutrition, and continues under this name today. Prolab Nutrition subscribes to a philosophy of excellence in all of their products, stating that the raw materials in the formulas are all hand selected based on potency and quality, and are then tested for purity. The four product lines for Prolab Nutrition currently include protein supplements, muscle builders, performance enhancers and weight management. For the purpose of this review, we will take a closer look at the weight management line and more specifically, at the Thermo Fire supplement in the weight management line. This product claims that it will speed up your metabolism so calories and fat are burned more efficiently in the body.

According to the product website, the ingredients in Thermo Burn include niacin, vitamin B6, L-Tyrosine, caffeine, green tea extract, Advantra Z (bitter orange extract), L-Pyroglutamic acid, raspberry ketone, bacopa extract, evodia extract, guarana and bioperine black pepper extract.

The Thermo Burn formula contains a number of good weight loss ingredients; in fact, it contains a lot of ingredients, period. We are always concerned about formulas that include a long ingredient list, since it seems to us that too many of these substances can reduce the effectiveness of the formula overall. However, Thermo Burn does contain some proven thermogenic ingredients like green tea, Advantra Z, green tea, guarana and caffeine that can indeed boost the body’s temperature and raise the metabolism. However, those ingredients can also have negative impact on some who are sensitive to caffeine with side effects like jitteriness, insomnia and irritability. Those with heart conditions or other physical problems may not be good candidates for products containg Advantra A at all. If you are unsure, talk to your doctor before trying a formula like this to see if it is safe for you.
