Refine Review - Does Fat Burner Work?

Refine Review

You may be surprised by what I say in this GNC Refine review. We at DietSpotlight dug deep into the ingredients, side effects, clinical studies and customer service quality. Plus, we read hundreds of user comments and responses from all over the internet. Lastly, we summarized and compressed to give you the information you really need.

EDITOR'S TIP:

What is Refine?

To begin with, Refine is a workout supplement available from GNC. It is part of the Beyond Raw series. This formula is marketed at men trying to bulk up. It contains ingredients such as beta-alanine, trans-resveratrol, ginger root, quercetin, amino acids, green tea, prickly pear, white willow bark, guggul extract, black tea, caffeine anhydrous, capsimax, cinnamon bark, fenugreek seed, yohimbe bark and yerba mate. It is claimed to ignite metabolism, fuel extreme workouts, burn off calories, increase testosterone levels and help sculpt the body. You simply take this capsule formula daily with water.

We are not sure when GNC Beyond Raw Refine was first released. However, it appears to have been discontinued. This fitness supplement was easy to acquire from GNC store locations. Furthermore, it was sold with a satisfaction guarantee, but read on…

Side Effects – “Something To Consider?”

The first concern we have is with GNC Beyond Raw Refine side effects. According to our Research Editor, “Some customers have reported that his workout supplement can lead to unpleasant adverse reactions such as rapid heartbeat, anxiety, headache, jitteriness, difficulty sleeping and nervousness.”

One user stated, “GNC Refine made me anxious and jittery. Make sure you don’t take this product in the evenings.”

Then again, a different customer said, “This stuff is just okay. Not sure about some of the Refine ingredients. Won’t keep buying it.”

Another commented, “Took it as directed for one month. Some results, but nothing to write home about.”

Refine Reviews – “User Complaints?”

Another issue is reviews of Refine related to multiple customer complaints. One person reported, “I did not see any benefits from taking GNC Refine capsules. Would not recommend this. Contains too many stimulants.”

However, a different customer posted, “Aside from the jitteriness, this product is good for an energy boost. Might help you get in a more intense workout session.”

“Okay, first of all, this product is just okay. It does give you a boost. On the other hand, I wouldn’t buy it again,” mentioned another.

Our extensive research has shown if there’s a particular aspect of a fitness product that is bothersome, like being connected to user complaints, the probability of long-term success is limited. Therefore, if customers aren’t pleased with Refine, there’s an issue.

The Science – “Is It There?”

Sadly, we did not find any documented studies that pertain to GNC Refine capsules. However, this formula does contain ingredients like green tea and caffeine. These components may help boost energy levels and elevate metabolism. Then again, it would be helpful to see some actual research that supports this particular product.

The Bottom Line – Does Refine Work?

So, should you spend your hard-earned money on GNC Beyond Raw Refine? Well, we do like that this fitness supplement is easy to use anywhere. It’s also nice to see that it’s sold with a satisfaction guarantee. However, we have some doubts about this formula because of the side effects that were reported. We’re also concerned that this product has been discontinued. After all, it’s no longer on the GNC website.

If you really want to improve on your weight-loss, we suggest going with a supplement containing ingredients backed by science, not connected to harmful side effects and backed by positive customer comments.

Among the best products we’ve seen in 2016 is one called Leptigen. The supplement contains four clinically-tested ingredients, which have been shown to help ignite fat loss and accelerate metabolism. There’s no one talking about harmful side effects, but people are excited about seeing great results.

The makers of Leptigen are so confident in their supplement, that they’re offering customers a Special Trial Offer.

How Does Refine Compare?

Previous Refine Review (Updated August 8, 2013):

What You Should Know about Refine

Bodybuilders work two phases of the sport to achieve the ultimate body - bulking and cutting. Bulking involves gaining weight and muscle while retaining lots of water. Cutting is the slimming phase when athletes reduce water retention and cut fat. GNC Refine is a cutting supplement designed to promote fat loss and sculpt the body into a rock-hard exhibit of pure muscle definition, but it is not a miracle supplement. Bodybuilders have to stop taking creatine and cut carbohydrates out of the diet during the cutting phase. If they take this supplement without taking those steps, it will not work as well as claimed.

List of  Refine Ingredients

Stamina Spike: Schisandra Fruit Extract, Ginger Root Extract, Quercetin Dihydrate, Grape Seed Extract, Grape Skin Extract, Dill Weed Extract, Yerba Mate Leaf Extract and Black Tea Leaf Extract.

Herbal Anabolix Potentiator: Rhodiola Rosea Root Extract, Yohimbe Bark Extract and Fenugreek Seed Extract.

Thermo Activator Blend: Black Pepper Extract, Cinnamon Bark Powder, L-Carnitine, Capsimax Fruit Extract, Caffeine Anhydrous, Trans-Resveratrol, 1,3N-Dipropyl-7-Proparhylxanthine, Guggul Extract, 35cAMP, 5-UMP, Toothed Clubmoss and Supra-Amine Apple Geranium.

Muscle Stimulator Blend: N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine, White Willow Bark Extract, Green Tea Leaf Extract, L-Tyrosine, Taurine, Prickly Pear cactus Leaf Extract and D-Glucuronolactonen.

N.O. Magnifier: CamoSyn Beta-Alanine and ResVida-Trans Resveratol.

Product Features

During the cutting phase, the most important ingredients in a supplement are fat burners. These ingredients need to be proven and effective in the human body. Refine uses caffeine, yerba mate, yohimbine and black tea leaf as stimulants. We love the use of caffeine and black tea, but the average dieter may not love the effect of strong stimulants as much as the bodybuilder. Black tea contains the highest concentration of caffeine. GNC does not reveal how much caffeine is in each serving and that is a huge letdown. Refine is a great bodybuilding supplement, but the bodybuilder needs to know how much caffeine they are taking in this supplement so they can adjust caffeine intake from other sources. Overdosing on caffeine can lead to heart palpitations and increased blood pressure.

Advantages of Refine

  • Contains caffeine from several sources.
  • Contains EGCG, known to promote metabolism.
  • All ingredients are listed online.

Disadvantages of Refine

  • May contain too much caffeine.
  • Should not be taken within 12 hours of bedtime.
  • May cause negative side effects and water loss.

Conclusion

Refine is one of the supplements in the new Beyond Raw line from GNC. The supplement line is designed for bodybuilders who want to increase lean muscle mass and cut fat from the body before competition. We like the line, but we are not fond of the fact that GNC does not list how much caffeine is in this fat burner.

Well its funny you say that gnc doesn’t list how much caffine is in beyond raw refine. Because i use it and it clearly states that it has 200 mg caffine per 3 capsules. Which if you didn’t know as well is 1 serving.
