The weight loss product Releana is manufactured by the company Millennium Medical Spa LLC 1997. The official website for this company tells us that it is an advanced medical weight loss company. Although this company provides a number of solutions for weight loss, they market heavily their patent pending product Releana. Releana contains the hormone HCG which stands for Human Chorionic Gonadotrophin. The official website tells us that this hormone will break down abnormal fat in the body. However HGC is in fact a hormone which is produced in pregnancy and which is made by the embryo soon after conception. It is also a hormone which is used as a tumor marker as it is found in certain cancers.

Ingredients

Releana contains Human Chorionic Gonadotrophin.

Product Features

The official website for Releana is detailed, with contact information given should you wish to contact a representative of the company with any questions or concerns. There are also a number of testimonials on the official website written by those who have already used the company’s weight loss services and products. There are before and after photos posted on the official website by those who have used Releana. Millennium Medical Spa LLC, in order to back up the claims which it makes for Releana relies on research carried out in the 1950s by a British Physician known as Dr. Simeons. Dr. Simeons injected a number of women with Human Chorionic Gonadophrin and found that they lost weight. However no clinical trials to date have backed up the results of the trials carried out by Dr. Simeons. This makes the claims made for Releana rather questionable.

Advantages

  • There is an official website for the company which manufactures Releana.
  • There are testimonials and before and after photos posted on the official website for Releana.
  • There is contact information given should you wish to contact a representative of the company which manufactures Releana.

Disadvantages

  • Clinical Studies carried out do not back up the claims made for HCG which is the main active ingredient in Releana.
  • Some people may not be comfortable taking this hormone.
  • We cannot be one hundred percent sure that taking this hormone either orally or by injection is one hundred percent safe.
  • There is no evidence that if you take Releana it will procure superior results than other weight loss products on the market.

Conclusion

We cannot recommend Releana as we have concerns regarding certain issues. Firstly we could not find any independent clinical trials carried out on HCG which backed up the results found by Dr Simeons in the 1950s. Secondly we cannot be 100% sure that taking HCG is safe; after all it is a hormone which is found in certain cancers.

I started using Releana in January this year and thought okay, $300 was an investment in the rest of my life. If you are going to try this product, but will not excerise or look at this as a lifestyle change and not a diet, don’t waste your money. This product does work and you will be so happy you took this journey.

I started the program after seeing the amazing results from another individual who lost 40 pounds in 40 days. I thought okay, if they could do it, so can I. I worked out often however, my midsection became fatter, but was falling out of my underwear and do you want to talk about the muffin tops! So I thought okay, this is enough especially after seeing pictures of myself and saying, I cannot post this on Facebook I am just too fat! I needed to lose 30 pounds, lower my cholesterol, and get out of the size 12 clothes I was now wearing and those were getting tight! I used to be a size 6 and now being in my 50′s I thought I would never see that size again.
My plana…I started with my fitness pal to see what I was eating and how far off to the Releana a caloric goal was I. Well, I was consuming over 3000 calories a day and my sodium and sugar intake daily was off the charts. So I tapered my calories done to 1600 prior to starting the program to ensure I would not plateau while on the program.
I started the program in January and lost 20 pounds that month. I lost an addition 10 pounds during the maintenance phase. I lost 8 inches off my waist, I lost 10 inches off my butt and 2 inches off each thigh! Went from the size tight 12 to a size 2-4! I feel great, look awesome and will never go back to my old habits,

You must excerise if you want to succeed. Women, walk on a treadmill and usethe incline to help tone your butt, start out walking 3.5 pace with an incline of 1.0- then work it up to 5.5 and higher pace over the course of several weeks. You will be amazed how this will help you in your journey. 30 minutes-to 45 a day you will see great results .

I am a 56 year old woman and have gained approximately 35 lbs in the last 4 years. At first I thought it was related to menopause because my food intake has not changed at all, but it doesn’t seem to be subsiding and I’m very frustrated! In the last few years I have been put on blood pressure, cholesterol, and anxiety meds. I have never had health issues before. Is Releana a safe product for me to take? Will it interfere with my other meds? Thanks so much for any input, I’m so frustrated!

I used this product about two years ago and lost about 25 pounds in 6 weeks. I didn’t follow the diet exactly and cheated a few times and think if I had followed it exactly I would have lost more in a shorter period of time. The products does work you just have to follow the diet. It is pricey but does work. Oh and my skin was glowing after i finished the diet and I swear I looked younger and kept getting compliments not only on the weight loss but also on how much younger I looked!!

Awesome! My friend lost over 230 lbs in 8 months. He called and told me that i had to try it. Lost 16 in three days, total of 44 by 30 days, and 110 in past six months. Now there are three of us that have lost a total of 428 pounds in 8 months. So if you didnt lose, you did something wrong.

If you didn’t loose any pounds on Releana then you ate something wrong. You have to be very carefull on this diet because certain things that you may not be aware of may be hidden in the food you are eating. For example most deli meat contains corn starch. you also can’t use Truvia but you can use Equal or Splenda. Some diet drinks you can have but others you can’t. You can’t use any type of oil even if its just a small amount. You also can’t ever really eat out because the chicken may be griiled but they oil their grill down and sometimes put butter and other seasonings on their veggies and meats. I did Releana and lost 35 lbs and I have thyroid problem and I know several other people it worked on to. I’m not saying you cheated I’m just saying you have to be very very careful what you eat and read every lable. Good luck to you!

Releana is the BEST PRODUCT. There is no cancer risk because hCG is made in pregnancy in huge amounts & women have baby after baby & live long & happy lives. Plus the amount of hCG in Releana is so small, it’s safe for everyone. It is NOT expensive at all. My wife lost 75 lbs & 53 inches in 4 months. It saved her life & I have my wife back. Next month I start my journey. My advice stick to the diet & by the 2nd week, you won’t quit. Good luck to everyone!

my mom used releana and had amazing results. battling with weight all my life i knew it was my final option as hard core workouts dont fit into my 13 hour work day and crash diets are not realistic, nor are they a way to alter eating habits and learn to portion meals in a healthy way….

im on my 4th day of releana (2nd day on the 500 calorie daily diet). with chk as my meat choice i am actually only intaking aprox. 350 calories but i have alot of stored fat my body has access to through the use of releana…my body has 100+ pounds to use as stored energy so its a program i am willing to stick with perfectly and results i am extremely happy with so far (5 lbs the first day…my friend started with me and she lost 8.5 the first day)

i highly recommend it to those who are wanting to change their lives and be healthy for life in a world that has come to embrace obesity. but it is a life change choice, not a “diet” to cheat on every now and then…good luck to all!

Just started on Sept 20th, weighing in at 190. it’s been 5 days and Im at 184. I wasnt expecting a huge drop because I have been restrictive dieting before this for some time, so I had no mass amount of water weight to loose. I am following the plan to a tee, and dont need the appetite suppresant to much. I got hit with a sinus infection just 2 days after I started, and asked today what I could take. He said Sudafed, but couldnt make it to the store and feel MISERABLE! I took a percocet,(left over from having my baby 6 m ago), and hope it wont interfere. One thing I am concerned about is, I really couldve done better about eating more fats on the 2nd day, but my stomach had shrunk from previously restrictive eating, and i couldnt. Also, I had them mix mine at the clinic, and ran inside walmart on the way home, expecting to a few min turned into an hour, plus a 30 min drive home! I had my son hold it in front of the air conditioner vent in the car. Im hoping since it was just mixed and at room temp that it was not affected. But I have had no huge weight drop except for the pound per day, (which Im happy with). What are anyone’s thoughts? PS, anybody want to buddy up?

Red mountain is really overcharging for a product that is not so much better. I did releana for one month and lost some weight, then i bought online from a local arizona company and it was the same product, I lost 63 pounds to date without spending all the extra money for nothing. My friends also went to the same online place and each and everyone of them had great success. Don’t let all these reviews fool you they are in it for the money. My friend M. worked at red mountain and gave me the entire scoop on what goes down there. I’m just sayin….

I’m currently on Releana since June 3rd, my starting weight was 255 and today I’m at 205. I only eat 500 calories daily and let the drug do the rest. Everyone cannot believe I’ve dropped 50 pounds in less than 2 months and I’m starting the 3rd month in August. My goal is to get down to 175-180. I DO NOT exercise daily as the Dr. says you do not want to burn those 500 calories away thru exercise. Releana is designed to burn 1500-2000 calories of fat for your daily energy output. I’m only hungry when it’s time for lunch and dinner. I eat 6-7 strawberries for breakfast around 10am, 3.5 oz. of chicken and 3.5 oz. of veggies at lunch and dinner… around 1:30pm and 7:00pm, and an apple for an afternoon snack or dessert for dinner. I take drops of Releana around 6:30am and 6:30pm. This drug is amazing but only if it’s prescribed by a Dr… the stuff they sell at heath food stores IS NOT the same and the results are not the same. Oh, also, it you’re wondering… all this fat loss DOES NOT bring with it loose flabby skin. Again, people are amazed when they see me at the pool asking if I’m working out… I have muscle, it was just covered by 50-70 pounds of fat. Hope this helps!!!

I have an appointment at Red Mountain Weight Loss on Tuesday-It’s crazy expensive, almost $400 for the first month-but I need to do something drastic. From what I can tell most people have been successful with Releana but in my patient paperwork it says that they do bloodwork before they give it to you-anyone know of any reasons they might deny someone? I don’t have any health problems but I am pretty heavy (about 300lbs) and I’m just a little bit nervous about spending all that money and them telling me no.

Releana helped me lose 50 pounds in 40 days. Yes I stuck to the 500 cal diet and the foods they suggested. You cannot cheat or it will take that much longer to lose the weight. As for loading, I was told to not load up on sugars and startches like donuts and cakes but good fatty foods, avocados, meat, cheeses–maybe some pizza or a cheeseburger, real whip cream, stuff like that. Just not alot of sugar and starch combined. This really helped with the hunger later. In about 6 weeks, the HCG looses its affectiveness and you will start to feel hungry. Thats a good stopping point and by then I lost 15 more pounds than I wanted. But its the maintanence phase you got to really stick to and its kind of scary when youre not taking the HCG nymore. If you cheated on the 500 cals a day, dont cheat on the meaintanence phse or the weight will come back-2 years and still no weight gain but Ive changed the way I eat…its about a change for the rest of your life and if you cant commit to that, it will be money, and time wasted.

I started Releana February 2010 and lost 80 pounds in 19 weeks. I have maintained since then and even lost another 10 more. I was 220 when I started and am now 130. It was the best thing I have ever done and I have tried a lot of diet programs. We tried to use insurance and originally they told me they would cover it but there were some loop holes. But, our flex spending program did cover the entire cost, which was an added bonus. But, to have my health back, I would have been happy with not getting any money back!

If you would JUST EXERCISE and watch what you eat, you will lose weight! an hour of cardio 5 days a week, cut out the sugars, breads and snacks. I often go to bed HUNGRY but I eat right and stopped snacking. I’ve lost almost 60 pounds in 4 1/2 months..a simple lifestyle change. Don’t get me wrong, it was HARD, but I was tired of being OBESE. When you get tired of being overweight, you can do it on your own, WITHOUT the help of synthetic medication or amphetemines (Phentermine) . Best of luck to you all.

Hogwash! I’m sure you don’t have a clue how misinformed and harmful your comment can be. Your advice is great for the vast majority of people but totally erroneous for the people who follow a veritifiable strict and healthy diet with 3-5 times a week of cardio workout and still lose no weight. Your advice is based on outdated science. It totally ignores the people whose metabolism actually slows down almost to a hibernation level when they diet and exercise. With a metabolism that slows down, you are not going to lose weight without something that helps to reset your metabolic rate. Researchers are working hard to learn how to help these people by understanding variables that affect the metabolism in different people. Diets like Releana may not be the final answer but for some people it has finally provided some concrete measurable hope when before there was little to nothing. Without hope, life can get pretty darn sad. So please quit touting your overly simplified and erroneous answer to a very complicated question. I’m sure you don’t want to do more harm than good.

I am a 66 year old retired male. I stopped smoking about 17 months ago by substituting eating, and within 3 months had gained 40 pounds from my normal 180. I managed to lose about 5 pounds by watching my diet, but have not been able to make a dent beyond that. I started the hcg diet two weeks ago through a weight loss clinic using Releana drops. I weighed 216 after the loading days, and on the 15th day(today) my scale said 201.2 lbs. or about a pound a day. Haven’t had any side effects but get hungry between eating times. Drinking lots of liquids helps. To those who have commented that they want to lose more than a pound a day, consider that that is 100 pounds a year! Get real.

I am wondering what determines which dosage you take? I have tried twice with the lower dosage on the dropper that my doctor said to use and I have never been so hungry in my life. Even when not dieting, I have went many times to late afternoon and not eaten anything without being hungry but on this I was so hungry I was actually sick to my stomach. I am going back to my dr tomorrow to either get phentermine or see if it would help to up the dosage. I recently lost 50 pounds on my own so I do know how to have discipline and not eat and never was as hungry as this. I hope I haven’t paid $250 for something that I can’t even take. I thought the advantage of this diet was you could be on 500 calories and not be hungry because the medicine makes you not hungry. If I’m going to be starving, I could have done it without the medicine and kept my $250. I guess I will see what the dr says tomorrow. Does anyone know if it could possibly be the dosage or what determines which dosage a patient takes? thanks

Hi! I have experienced the same thing some of you have. I followed the protocol 100% also…exactly 500 calories a day. I was losing weight but mostly inches. Only about 15 lbs but quite a bit of inches & have been told by many people that I look completely different but because I am more concerned with the lbs I don’t feel successful. After the 3rd week, I plateaued. No weight loss. My doc said since I was very dedicated, my body entered starvation mode at 3 weeks instead of 4 like most people. He instructed me to increase to 1200 calories & start exercising a bit. After 3 days of 1200 calories, I gained 3.5 lbs. He told me that it will come right off again since my body has to relearn not to hold onto any calories like it did when I entered starvation mode. I’m still taking Releana as instructed & will keep following a healthy 1000 – 1200 calorie eventhough I was depressed that I stopped losing weight & then gained 3.5 pounds. At lease I have learned portion control and healthy eating habits. BTW, I started at an 18/20 and am now a 14/16. Can’t argue with those results even if my total “lbs weight” loss was only 15 lbs…it shows in the mirror!

I am 40 going on 41 and have been overwt since youth, especially after having my 1st kids. I have approx 80 lbs to lose. Wish me luck!

While releana seems to work, after 7 days on the diet, I went into ketosis. Releana is a crash diet that ultimately is not healthy for your. I understand the desire to lose weight quickly (as I need to do it to), but your muscles and brain will thank you if you stick to losing 1-2 pounds per week as most doctors recommend. Please do not use Releana as you put yourself at risk.

Sunny, I think you bring up a great point. My opinion is that the Releana is only causing people’s wallets to be thinner. Of course you will lose weight on 500 calories a day. It’s called starvation. Wonder how many people keep the weight off after a year?

    [Reply]

    Louis

This comment “anyone will lose on 500 calories a day” is a tired, boring and incorrect argument. While it is true that one might lose a few pounds on a 500 calorie diet, no one would be able to stay with it for any length of time and if they were somehow able to stay on 500 calories, after just a couple of weeks their metabolism would slow so much, as their body believes it is starving–they will cease to lose any more weight. Also, once they start eating a “normal” amount of calories, they re-gain weight rapidly (thus the cycle of yo-yo dieting). The HCG does work. As many have attested to here, they are able to maintain 500 calories for weeks, properly go off the diet and keep the weight off. Don’t criticize what you clearly do not understand.

Do you really think its the Releana causing all the weight loss? Or is it that you are on a 500 calorie a day diet? It would make more sense that if you are only eating 500 calories a day that you would lose a substantial amount of weight even without the releana…. Whats your opinion?

2 years ago I lost 42 lb.s in 4 months on Optifast. In my first month on Releana I have lost 20 lbs. There is a difference. The tissue in the fat areas is suddenly very soft – the fat has left the cells. That is the Releana working. I didn’t have that with the Optifast.

I agree with you 500 calorie diet you would loose with out diet pills or any of that stuff.

    [Reply]

    Carol

However, on 500 without the hormone you would loose muscle as well and lower your metabolism. With hcg/releana you only loose fat and in my case my metabolism “healed” or actually improved. I lost 50 lbs in 4 1/2 months and have kept it off almost 7 months while eating a reasonable, healthy, normal diet.

I have been on the Releana since Feb 22nd and have only lost 23 lbs. I am very disappointed….i have followed the protocol 100%, I mean I have not even nibbled anything. I drink 100 ozs. of water and weigh everything. I have read about all the great results everyone has had and even know a couple of people who lost 40 lbs in 40 days and 33 in 6 weeks. I have lost inches that I have seen, but I am truly fixated on the lbs on the scale. I am really getting discouraged, some people say WOW 23 lbs in 6 weeks that’s great and to me I’m thinking not as great as others. I have 38 more lbs to lose and I had a specific goal to lose 20 lbs a month. I’m at a loss as to why my weight is hanging on. I am having to do an apple day today since I have not lost anything in 4 days. I will tell you this. I was told that I did not have to eat “Free Range Beef” and I only get 1 B12 shot a month and I don’t know if that is the problem cause I am following it to a “T”. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Kelly, I just started the diet and I read that it is very important that you don’t use any oil based lotions or cosmetic products because it can interfere with how much weight you lose, so maybe that can be it?

Kelly, That’s GREAT that you lost 23 lbs. Be happy for that! That’s awesome. Are you walking? I was told you do need to eat free range beef. I’ve been just doing shrimp and chicken though. Try just chicken and fish. Are you putting lemon in your water? You can do it!

Hi everyone. I have been on Releana Since Nov.31 I have lost 30 pounds. I do go up and down bc it is hard to stay on the 500 calorie. i do cheat with chocolate and yogurt covered pretzels. I have evenn been eating the nnew Pringles chips that have no fat. Otherwise I live on the prescribed meat and vegies with the apple snack. I do weigh them all as to keep to the 3&1/2 ounce maximum. You Dr. should give you the allowed meats and vegies. You can’t eat just any meat or vegie you want. There is a list. I still have approx.20 to go. My Dr. is a trained OBGYN Oncologist. she found my cancer in ’94. I doubt seriously she would give me anything that has even the slightest chance of giving me cancer. The routine is weighing in at her office weekly anad getting a vitolite shot which is packed full of vitamines and nutrients the body needs that you may not get normally. We were recently on a cruise and I went off the strict regimen and ate every cchocolater desert I could get my hands on. I only gained 3 pounds the entire seek. I came home and sent back to eating as I have been, lost it and 2 more the next week. I am here to say it works but you need to find a Dr that is trained and uses ther entire program not just the drops. It isn’t cheap and you need to be willing to go the distance. I a looking forward to a tummy tuck whhen am I satisfied have lost enough. Hope this answers some of your questions.

I just found this site and have read the previous comments. I have to say I am shocked that there area people out there who are taking Releana (or at least they think they are) and yet they have no real knowledge of HCG other than they want to loose weight. This is not meant to be condescending, so do yourself a big favor and understand why you want to use Releana. Google Dr. ATW Simmeon and read his work (you can read it for free on the internet), “Pounds to Inches” so you can understand the role that HCG plays in your body (regardless of whether you are male or female, although men tend to loose more rapidly – read Dr Simmeons work)and how it works on your hypothalmus to reprogram how your body uses fat. It is about 44 pages, some of it dry, but consider it was written by a British Dr. in the mid 1950′s. It is enlightening. If you truly want to loose the weight, follow his diet strictly. If you want to cheat and have that cookie or that glass of wine, you are only cheating yourself. You will put yourself back 2-3 days on your diet goal. Releana is supposed to be only issued by a licensed physician. Why it is so expensive (unlike many sites that advertise HCG – which by the way is probably coming from China or India and is extracted from horse urine – yes, horse urine), is because Releana is a biodentical. It is taken from humans (not horses or other animals)and it is cultivated in both a sterile and controlled lab environment here in the USA. The reason it comes in 2 vials (powder in 1, liquid in the other) is that it cannot be transported well when it is premixed – you will do that yourself so you can refrigerate after mixing. It is imperative to the life of the HCG to be refrigerated. If you are using the authentic Releana, it has a .25ml and .5 ml mark on the dropper (you administer .25ml under your tongue and keep it there for 3 minutes; for proper abosorption you do not eat or drink anything 10 minutes before or after the 3 minutes it is under your tongue) this is done once in the morning and once in the evening (try about 30 minutes before you eat your dinner) – set a timer to make sure you are tracking the time. Expect to pay for blood work (as it is a prerequisite if you are using a legit Dr. – they want to make sure you are not anemic to start and that both your liver and kidney enzymes are normal)as well as paying for a Dr visit plus around $275+ for the Releana (add that all up and you are looking at about $500-$600 depending on who you see), but it is worth it if it takes off the weight you have been struggling with for years! The HCG has to build up in your hypothalmus for a few days before you stop feeling hungry – which is why the “gorging” on the first 2 days of the diet is critical to your success. Afterall, who doesn’t want to eat those chocolate covered donuts, creams, fried food and not feel guilty? The better your gorge, the more successful you will be the first week in not feeling hungry. You will loose the weight you gain on the gorge after the first day of the 500 cal diet. Keep it to 500 calories and you will see the weight drop – logical of course, but the HCG keeps you from feeling the hunger, plus you are eating nothing but amazingly healthy food. No fatigue or the shakes/jitters(unless you exercise, which you are not supposed to do on this diet). Many of us eat out of habit or when we are stressed, not because we are truly hungry. The diet is strict, it doesn’t allow you to pick your 500 calories (i.e. red/green peppers are not allowed, corn, carrots, potatoes, etc. are strictly forbidden – you might have thought they should be okay because they are healthy – not on this diet). There are healthy foods, however, that will comprise your 3.5 oz of protein plus your 3.5 oz of vegetable for lunch and a repeat of that amount for your dinner. You can have an orange for breakfast or your morning snack and an apple after dinner (always at least 6 hours apart). Spices make the difference – use black pepper, red pepper flakes, onion powder, garlic powder – it is amazing how they can transform that otherwise bland piece of protein or veggie. Get creative, take it as a challenge. If you are getting your product from a reputable Dr., they should be giving you a list of what you can and what you cannot eat. It sounds crazy, but believe me, it works as advertised – at least a pound a day! Understand the product and then go loose some weight – good luck to you!

I have been on Releana since Feb 22nd, I take .25 ml twice a day and I am only down 23 lbs. I have been following the protocol 100% and have not swayed, nibbled, cheated, tasted absolutely not one thing. I have lost inches that is noticeable but I am fixated on the lbs that have not come off on the scale. Compared to the great results everyone has had, they aren’t so great for me. I still have 38 lbs to go. I drink 100 ounces of water a day and measure everything, the only difference that I have heard that I have not been doing is my Dr. said that it is OK for me not to have “Free Range Beef” and I don’t get a B12 shot every week, only once a month. I wonder how much that makes a difference. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

The same thing happened to me! There is such a thing as the protein deficiency… A simple to test is to follow the diet, but eat an extra boiled egg or protein one day. I noticed that if I did this, I would drop an extra 1-2 pounds. That’s your answer…. Simply go off the diet and re-start at a later date. Not many people have this, so there isn’t much information on other ways to solve it.

It’s DEFINITELY okay to go off the diet and re-start later. Simply make sure that you follow all the phases properly.

    Good luck! (Hope that helped).

I did the releana about 3 years ago. It was 275.00 then for the drops and the initial medical visit. I lost 28 pounds in the four weeks. I didn’t stick to 500 calories. It said if I remember correctly 4oz lean meat for lunch and dinner. I did 7 oz every meal. I even had some beers one weekend and the weight still fell off. The only thing I will say is that you need to follow the instructions when you get off the releana. They call it the cool down period. I had a hawaii vacation right after coming off it and put about 7 lbs back on.I used the real releana when I did it. I have no experience with the less expensive stuff. My guess is you get what you pay for. Hope the information helps

I have been taking a sublingual form of HcG for 3 weeks now. After reading your website, I started to question my Doctor about the type of HcG that was being prescribed to me. I was under the original impression that I was taking your Releana product. However, it was not, and I became VERY upset about this. I demanded that she change my prescription to the Releana. And she has complied.

My question is this – how should I proceed? Do I continue the VLCD and drops I am on now with no interuption and take the Releana or should I stop for a few days and “re-load” before I start the Releana? I am very excited about the Releana and do not want to sabatoge the diet before I begin. I have lost total faith in my Dr. to give me the correct information.

i’ve been a nurse for over 25 years.. i have researched the hell out of this relena and it’s the bomb!!!!!! the load part for the first two days is eat as much as you can.. not sugar products. but potato’s steak, bacon, eggs, cheese, ie for breakfast eat, eat like steak and eggs, toast, meatloaf, pizza, burgers. as much as you want! consume over 4000 calories a day for the first two days, then the drops 12 hours apart, and your fruit is 6 hours apart.. then your chicken for lunch with lettuce and a cucmber, then your friut later for a snack. then dinner of some type of white fish i use lemon juice and pepper and then another exchange of veggies. then the drops after dinner.. remember drops are 12 hours apart so if you are up at 7a.m you next drops are at 7 p.m. no oil butter or anything else.. you may be hungry for the first couple of days, but remember 2 liters of water… i lost 15lbs the first week, i did it for three months and lost 90 lbs.. i was never heavy but after a divorce and a major accident at work, i got depressed and didn’t eat, which is just as bad as overeating so i was 235lbs at five foot three!!!! so please do the protocol it’s there for a reason and dr. simmons in the 50′s had his research right.. now not just the rich and famous can do this..i used to see these actors fat after having kids and wondered how in the world did they do this.. it was the relena or the hcg… it’s total bull that they say it caused cancer, i move like i’m 21 again and look amazing from the fat out of shape person that was starring me back in the mirror…

I have been on the releana diet since Feb. 1st. and am doing very well over all. I do wonder about taking the HCG and if I might do as well on my own. I have a suspision that it’s really the 500 cal diet that makes the largest impact. The average person who eats in a healthy manner would likely consume around 1800 cal per day.
To answer some of your questions, YES you need to obtain it from a doctor, you MUST stick to the 500 cal daily as shown on the literature and yes it is expensive. Very expensive but if you are determined and dedicated to your weight loss… who knows. it could be worth it. I’ve lost 9 lbs in the 7 days since my”load up” days.

I have done so many diets that i no longer have any will power to diet. So reading about it on the internet and how people just aren’t hungery. I read some even forgot to eat. It did not do a thing for me. I really needed the help of not feeling hungery. Also got phentermine doesn’t work for me either. Seems like something is wrong with me? I don’t know what? I am glad it is working for many others.

Have you checked your thyroid? A doctor gave me synthroid but that did not work for me. Am now on armour thyro and have hope for the first time in years.

Yes i took phentermine and lost and I just started releana however if there is something else that is causing your weight issue these will not work. I would go to the endocrinologist and have yourself tested for all the possibilities.

I noticed if I am not drinking my weight in water than I will get hungry. I am taking Relana and Phentermine together thru Red Mountain. I am on day 13 and lost 16 pounds so far. You have to stay within those 500 calories and not be tempted to cheat… I basically cleaned out everything (pantry/ fridge).

Sorry that it did not work for you. I started last April, I wanted to lose weight before my trip to Cabo.
Like others, I lost 5 lbs, the first day, and continue to lose 1-2 daily. This is GREAT! If you follow the diet ccorrectly, you will lose weight. I would recommend this to anyone!

I also went to Red Mountain Day Spa and they gave me Relena in a tablet format. They said the pills were new and I’m concerned they may not be a strong at the liquid – has anyone else tried the pill form and what were your results?

I lost 45 lbs in 12 weeks on Releana (and have kept it off). I think it works great.
