Releana Review

What You Should Know

The weight loss product Releana is manufactured by the company Millennium Medical Spa LLC 1997. The official website for this company tells us that it is an advanced medical weight loss company. Although this company provides a number of solutions for weight loss, they market heavily their patent pending product Releana. Releana contains the hormone HCG which stands for Human Chorionic Gonadotrophin. The official website tells us that this hormone will break down abnormal fat in the body. However HGC is in fact a hormone which is produced in pregnancy and which is made by the embryo soon after conception. It is also a hormone which is used as a tumor marker as it is found in certain cancers.

Ingredients

Releana contains Human Chorionic Gonadotrophin.

Product Features

The official website for Releana is detailed, with contact information given should you wish to contact a representative of the company with any questions or concerns. There are also a number of testimonials on the official website written by those who have already used the company’s weight loss services and products. There are before and after photos posted on the official website by those who have used Releana. Millennium Medical Spa LLC, in order to back up the claims which it makes for Releana relies on research carried out in the 1950s by a British Physician known as Dr. Simeons. Dr. Simeons injected a number of women with Human Chorionic Gonadophrin and found that they lost weight. However no clinical trials to date have backed up the results of the trials carried out by Dr. Simeons. This makes the claims made for Releana rather questionable.

Advantages

  • There is an official website for the company which manufactures Releana.
  • There are testimonials and before and after photos posted on the official website for Releana.
  • There is contact information given should you wish to contact a representative of the company which manufactures Releana.

Disadvantages

  • Clinical Studies carried out do not back up the claims made for HCG which is the main active ingredient in Releana.
  • Some people may not be comfortable taking this hormone.
  • We cannot be one hundred percent sure that taking this hormone either orally or by injection is one hundred percent safe.
  • There is no evidence that if you take Releana it will procure superior results than other weight loss products on the market.

Conclusion

We cannot recommend Releana as we have concerns regarding certain issues. Firstly we could not find any independent clinical trials carried out on HCG which backed up the results found by Dr Simeons in the 1950s. Secondly we cannot be 100% sure that taking HCG is safe; after all it is a hormone which is found in certain cancers.

Kristin, I just found an ad for Releana. I’m considering it but can you tell me what you found, what happened on your first visit. My one concern is the Cancer thing also! Thank you so much and make it a great day! Jacquie

    Kristin

they took my blood the first visit and gave me the releana, appetite surpressant, and potassium pills. they want you to eat only 500 cal a day with the releana. i can’t tell you how it’s working cuz i haven’t been able to keep the 500cal in check :( but i’m going to start trying again 2moro. oh yea, there is the thing called loading. you have to load up on fat and calories the first 2 days on the program to get it kick started or something like that. well, good luck. and as for the cancer thing. i didn’t find much, just google it and read what’s out there.

    Amy

    Hello Tina,
I have been on the releana diet since Feb. 1st. and am doing very well over all. I do wonder about taking the HCG and if I might do as well on my own. I have a suspision that it’s really the 500 cal diet that makes the largest impact. The average person who eats in a healthy manner would likely consume around 1800 cal per day.
To answer some of your questions, YES you need to obtain it from a doctor, you MUST stick to the 500 cal daily as shown on the literature and yes it is expensive. Very expensive but if you are determined and dedicated to your weight loss… who knows. it could be worth it. I’ve lost 9 lbs in the 7 days since my”load up” days.

    [Reply]

    Amy

Hi Joy. I started the releana diet on Feb. 1st. and am doing very well. I am concerned that you received a powder and a liquid. You may want to double check that with whatever doctor gave it to you….

    [Reply]

    Debbie

You mix the small vial into the large vial and mix it as well as you can. the you HAVE to keep in in the fridge. It won’t last after 60 days. I haven’t started mine yet and I can’t remember how many drops to take. If you remember…please email me back and let me know. Mtngirl735@aol.com

I’ve tried every diet there is for 30+ years. My body has learned to NOT lose weight when I diet. I’ve been on Releana since 11/12/09 and have lost over 40 lbs. This has succeeded where nothing else has. My diabetes is resolved, my BP is normal, my blood work is normal, and I feel GREAT! This is a miracle for me.

I have been taking a sublingual form of HcG for 3 weeks now. After reading your website, I started to question my Doctor about the type of HcG that was being prescribed to me. I was under the original impression that I was taking your Releana product. However, it was not, and I became VERY upset about this. I demanded that she change my prescription to the Releana. And she has complied.

My question is this – how should I proceed? Do I continue the VLCD and drops I am on now with no interuption and take the Releana or should I stop for a few days and “re-load” before I start the Releana? I am very excited about the Releana and do not want to sabatoge the diet before I begin. I have lost total faith in my Dr. to give me the correct information.

My directions are to put 10-20 drops under your tongue for 2 minutes 3 times a day. Start with 10 under the tongue and if you need more gradually go up.

I love in Arizona and started Releana about 2 weeks ago. Mine Cost $460.00 for the drops and pills. My drop bottle had 2 different marks on it, a 0.25 and 0.5, i was told to take the 0.25 amount.

Hi Alexis. I’m in AZ and considering getting Releana and pills. I asumed I would pay no more than $300. I have to lose 20 lbs. I havnt seen the Dr. yet but I wonder how much I’ll end up paying when I reach my goal.

I did the releana about 3 years ago. It was 275.00 then for the drops and the initial medical visit. I lost 28 pounds in the four weeks. I didn’t stick to 500 calories. It said if I remember correctly 4oz lean meat for lunch and dinner. I did 7 oz every meal. I even had some beers one weekend and the weight still fell off. The only thing I will say is that you need to follow the instructions when you get off the releana. They call it the cool down period. I had a hawaii vacation right after coming off it and put about 7 lbs back on.I used the real releana when I did it. I have no experience with the less expensive stuff. My guess is you get what you pay for. Hope the information helps

HCG is a marker FOUND in certain tumors, just as it is always FOUND in pregnant women. HCG will not give you cancer nor will ir make you pregnant.

I just found this site and have read the previous comments. I have to say I am shocked that there area people out there who are taking Releana (or at least they think they are) and yet they have no real knowledge of HCG other than they want to loose weight. This is not meant to be condescending, so do yourself a big favor and understand why you want to use Releana. Google Dr. ATW Simmeon and read his work (you can read it for free on the internet), “Pounds to Inches” so you can understand the role that HCG plays in your body (regardless of whether you are male or female, although men tend to loose more rapidly – read Dr Simmeons work)and how it works on your hypothalmus to reprogram how your body uses fat. It is about 44 pages, some of it dry, but consider it was written by a British Dr. in the mid 1950’s. It is enlightening. If you truly want to loose the weight, follow his diet strictly. If you want to cheat and have that cookie or that glass of wine, you are only cheating yourself. You will put yourself back 2-3 days on your diet goal. Releana is supposed to be only issued by a licensed physician. Why it is so expensive (unlike many sites that advertise HCG – which by the way is probably coming from China or India and is extracted from horse urine – yes, horse urine), is because Releana is a biodentical. It is taken from humans (not horses or other animals)and it is cultivated in both a sterile and controlled lab environment here in the USA. The reason it comes in 2 vials (powder in 1, liquid in the other) is that it cannot be transported well when it is premixed – you will do that yourself so you can refrigerate after mixing. It is imperative to the life of the HCG to be refrigerated. If you are using the authentic Releana, it has a .25ml and .5 ml mark on the dropper (you administer .25ml under your tongue and keep it there for 3 minutes; for proper abosorption you do not eat or drink anything 10 minutes before or after the 3 minutes it is under your tongue) this is done once in the morning and once in the evening (try about 30 minutes before you eat your dinner) – set a timer to make sure you are tracking the time. Expect to pay for blood work (as it is a prerequisite if you are using a legit Dr. – they want to make sure you are not anemic to start and that both your liver and kidney enzymes are normal)as well as paying for a Dr visit plus around $275+ for the Releana (add that all up and you are looking at about $500-$600 depending on who you see), but it is worth it if it takes off the weight you have been struggling with for years! The HCG has to build up in your hypothalmus for a few days before you stop feeling hungry – which is why the “gorging” on the first 2 days of the diet is critical to your success. Afterall, who doesn’t want to eat those chocolate covered donuts, creams, fried food and not feel guilty? The better your gorge, the more successful you will be the first week in not feeling hungry. You will loose the weight you gain on the gorge after the first day of the 500 cal diet. Keep it to 500 calories and you will see the weight drop – logical of course, but the HCG keeps you from feeling the hunger, plus you are eating nothing but amazingly healthy food. No fatigue or the shakes/jitters(unless you exercise, which you are not supposed to do on this diet). Many of us eat out of habit or when we are stressed, not because we are truly hungry. The diet is strict, it doesn’t allow you to pick your 500 calories (i.e. red/green peppers are not allowed, corn, carrots, potatoes, etc. are strictly forbidden – you might have thought they should be okay because they are healthy – not on this diet). There are healthy foods, however, that will comprise your 3.5 oz of protein plus your 3.5 oz of vegetable for lunch and a repeat of that amount for your dinner. You can have an orange for breakfast or your morning snack and an apple after dinner (always at least 6 hours apart). Spices make the difference – use black pepper, red pepper flakes, onion powder, garlic powder – it is amazing how they can transform that otherwise bland piece of protein or veggie. Get creative, take it as a challenge. If you are getting your product from a reputable Dr., they should be giving you a list of what you can and what you cannot eat. It sounds crazy, but believe me, it works as advertised – at least a pound a day! Understand the product and then go loose some weight – good luck to you!
