Scivation Xtend Review
What You Should Know
One of the most common complaints during bodybuilding is muscle cramping. Creatine causes the muscle to hold on to water and this causes an imbalance in electrolytes. In order to counteract the effect of creatine, which is one bodybuilding supplement bodybuilders are not willing to forgo for comfort, electrolytes can be supplemented. Most bodybuilding companies do not offer intra-workout shakes, but Scivation saw the need and decided to offer just the right combination of ingredients to promote lean muscle growth, reduce cramping and balance electrolytes. The product is called Scivation Xtend and it can be stacked with pre-workout and post-workout shakes sold by Scivation.
There are no ingredients in Scivation Xtend to increase fat loss or weight loss. The dieter does not need the ingredients included in the formula to lose weight so this is a waste of money for the average dieter. Scivation does not list any testimonials or before and after photos from bodybuilders using Xtend. Most of the time, bodybuilders shake their experiences on forums and websites, so clinical research is not typically needed for a supplement to gain popularity.
List of Ingredients
Electrolyte Blend: Trisodium Citrate Dihydrate, Potassium Chloride and Sodium Chloride.
L-Leucine, L-Glutamine, L-Isoleucine, L-Valine and Citrulline Malate.
So what does Scivation Xtend offer that other workout shakes don’t? Electrolytes. Electrolyte imbalance is the number one cause of muscle cramping during a workout. Creatine causes super hydration of the muscle and that causes electrolytes to get all out of whack. Supplying much needed electrolytes to the body reverses this effect so the bodybuilder can gain with less pain.
The branched chain amino acids (BCAAs) in this formula are good for some bodybuilders but redundant for others. Many pre- and post-workout shakes add BCAAs to the formula to promote support muscle growth. There is no reason to take more on top of more, so the bodybuilder could be over supplementing BCAAs when taking this supplement.
- Contains BCAAs – great for some bodybuilders.
- Supports healthy electrolyte balance.
- May reduce muscle cramping caused by creatine.
- Designed to be stacked with other workout shakes.
- All ingredients are listed online.
- Not designed to promote weight loss.
- No testimonials are available from product users.
- May not stop all muscle cramping.
- May not work better than electrolyte drinks.
There is very little proof that Scivation Xtend is any better than an electrolyte drink, but bodybuilders are all about brands and if they are using Scivation Vasocharge or other Scivation workout shakes, they may want to stick with products they know will stack well together. Dieters will not see an increase in weight loss after taking this supplement.
