Side Effect Fat Burner Review
What You Should Know
Side Effect Fat Burner claims to have found the solution to fat loss – cellular function. If the body’s cells naturally burn around 2200 calories per day those cells can be convinced to burn more and help you lose weight. In theory, the idea is fantastic, but in practice it takes more than cellular changes to evoke permanent weight loss. To the credit of Side Effect Sports, the fat burner does not contain any hidden stimulants, diuretics, laxatives or other dangerous ingredients other companies try to hide with fancy scientific names. But, that also means every proven weight loss ingredient has been left off the ingredient list.

The main punch in the fat loss category for Side Effect Fat Burner is the 200 mg of caffeine per serving. This is a powdered supplement, so adding that much caffeine to a scoop dose could be dangerous. Is the scoop supposed to be level, full or overfull? Too much of the powder could lead to taking more than 200 mg in one serving. Too little and you are not getting the full serving of the other ingredients.
As for those other ingredients, we are not sold on the idea that a powdered supplement can convince cells to burn more calories. According to the product description, the three main ingredients are AMP, UMP and CMA. AMP boosts fat loss, UMP increases energy and CMA keeps the cellular system clean. All three of these elements are naturally found in the body. Taking more is not necessarily going to improve the natural abilities of these cellular elements.
- The caffeine will boost energy and fat loss.
- All ingredients in the Side Effect Fat Burner are listed.
- Some of the studies listed were completed 10 years ago.
- None of the studies support the theory that Side Effect Fat Burner ingredients will boost fat loss.
Studies are a great addition to any product description, but the studies Side Effect Fat Burner chose to list are on cellular function and that is a topic well over the head of most dieters. There are no links to any of the studies, so the dieter will have to search around to find the correct study and there is a good chance they will not have access to the full study – just an abstract. Side Effect Fat Burner contains too much caffeine delivered via powder, which makes even dosing nearly impossible.
