Kenrico manufactures the Silver Agaricus Patches. The official website for Kenrico does not list the products for sale, but they are available through multiple online retailers, Amazon and eBay. The patches are applied to the bottom of the foot and claim to draw toxins out through the feet. There are many foot patches that claim to serve the same purpose, but none include ingredients proven to detox the body. Kenrico’s Silver Agaricus Patches sell online for $15.99 for 20 patches.

List of Ingredients

Wood Vinegar, Bamboo Vinegar, Agaricus, Tourmaline and Dextrin.

Product Features

All ingredients in the Kenrico Silver Agaricus Patches claim to be 100% organic. This claim is hard to substantiate as the official website does not list the patches as part of the Kenrico product line. Wood vinegar is promoted as a detoxifying liquid. In powder form, it is added to the Silver Agaricus Patches. There is no clinical evidence that wood vinegar, which is created by burning wood into charcoal, detoxifies the body.

Bamboo vinegar is also created when bamboo is burned while making charcoal. With at least 400 chemical compounds, bamboo vinegar is used in a variety of natural and alternative treatments. But, like wood vinegar, none of these treatments are proven.

Agaricus is a genus of mushrooms that include the common button mushroom. The genus also contains mushrooms considered poisonous to humans. Mushrooms have been used in Chinese medicine for thousands of years, but what type of Agaricus mushroom is used in Silver Agaricus Patches is unknown.

Tourmaline is a gem that comes in a variety of colors. There are no alternative medical uses for the stone that we could find. It can be assumed that the tourmaline stone dust is responsible for the dark color the patches display after a night collecting sweat.

Dextrin is a natural liquid fiber. The fiber binds to water easily. When viewing all ingredients together, it looks as if the tourmaline is in powder form as is the dextrin. When the patches are applied to the foot, sweat is collected by the Dextrin and the tourmaline is pulled to the surface of the patch and captured in the fiber gel.

Advantages

  • None.

Disadvantages

  • None of the ingredients are proven to detox the body.
  • Foot detoxification is not a medically proven treatment.
  • Detoxing will not cause an increase in weight loss.

Conclusion

Silver Agaricus Patches do not detox the body or increase weight loss. The patches are made from a unique set of ingredients that collect sweat during the night. The sweat is bound by fiber and tourmaline powder changes the color of the patch. Detoxification via Silver Agaricus Patches is nothing more than a carefully illustrated set of common chemical reactions.
