SizeOn Pre-Contest Review
What You Should Know
SizeOn Pre-Contest is a protein powder supplement for use during the muscle building phase of bodybuilding. Compared to the SizeOn Max Performance, the only difference is the lack of glucose proprietary blend and reduced calorie amounts. SizeOn Pre-Contest has only 50 calories per serving as opposed to 180 for the Max Performance powder. Both products are manufactured and sold by Gaspari Nutrition, a leading manufacturer of bodybuilding products and supplements. SizeOn Pre-Contest contains creatine which is not typically a weight loss ingredient. Creatine is used by bodybuilders to increase muscle mass during workouts.
List of Ingredients
SizeOn Pre-Contest: Vitamin C, Thiamin, Riboflavin, Niacin, Vitamin B6, Folate, Vitamin B12, Pantothenic Acid, Calcium, Phosphorus, Magnesium, Sodium, Potassium.
SizeOn Pre-Contest Proprietary Blend: Protein Synthesis Acceleration Matrix (Whey Protein Hydrolysate, L-Leucine, L-Isoleucine, L-Valine, L-Ornithine, L-Aspartate), OsmoDrive Advanced Hydration Complex (L-Taurine, Sodium Glycerophosphate, Calcium Glycerophosphate, Potassium Glycerophosphate, Sustamine), Phosphodrive Endurance Complex (Creapure, Creatine MagnaPower, Disodium Phosphate).
The SizeOn Pre-Contest protein powder is to be taken once a day mixed with 20 ounces of water. The shake works quickly in the body and thus is typically taken at the start of a workout or consumed throughout the workout on training days. On off days, bodybuilders can take the shake whenever they like as there are no stimulants to increase energy. Most often, bodybuilders choose to take the supplement at the same time they would take it if they were hitting the gym.
Dieters will not find anything special about the protein shake. With only 50 calories per serving, the protein level is relatively low at 10 grams per serving. However, 10 grams of protein makes up 40 calories so there are only 10 extra calories in the supplement from fats and carbohydrates. The protein shake also supplies a healthy dose of vitamins. Without the creatine, dieters could use the SizeOn Pre-Contest shake to boost protein intake, but the creatine is there so only men should take advantage of the shake. Creatine causes the muscle to absorb water and may be very difficult for the female stomach to digest.
SizeOn Pre-Contest sells for $48.99 per 24 servings. The supplement can be taken daily if desired.
- Bodybuilders can use SizeOn Pre-Contest to build more muscle.
- Creatine causes the muscles to bloat which may increase water weight.
- Women may have trouble digesting creatine.
- The supplement is more expensive than other protein supplements.
SizeOn Pre-Contest protein powder has fewer calories than other protein shakes and few carbohydrates. Bodybuilders can easily use the protein powder during workouts to increase protein energy for muscles, but the creatine could be a problem for most dieters. Creatine has been shown to cause water retention and bloating, which could be why bodybuilding supplements include the ingredient. Muscles will look bigger but it is just water gain not increased size.
