Slimdown Flush Review
What You Should Know
Slimdown Flush is a short-term body cleansing supplement, which means you take the supplement for a short period and it has a laxative and diuretic effect. The fine line between weight loss and cleansing has been blurred in recent years. More and more dieters are turning to laxatives as a means of quick weight loss, but the potential side effects are much more dangerous than dieters realize. Laxative use should be reserved for the occasional bout of constipation, not for weight loss.
List of Ingredients
- Senna Leaf
- Grape Seed
- Beet Root
Senna leaf is a natural, stimulant laxative. Stimulant laxatives work by engaging the muscles that move waste through the intestines. The muscles are forced to contract, moving waste out of the body before absorption of vitamins, minerals and other nutrients is complete. Senna works wonders for relief of constipation, but Slimdown Flush is marketing this ingredient as a kickstart supplement for weight loss.
Potassium and magnesium are basic minerals that could be lost when waste is forcefully expelled. The body will collect water to help move waste through the bowels more quickly. This water college causes an imbalance of electrolytes – potassium being the major electrolyte lost. We applaud Slimdown Flush for adding potassium to the supplement, but magnesium is another story. Magnesium is typically added to calcium-based supplements to reduce constipation caused by calcium. When taken as a standalone supplement it can cause a laxative effect.
Slimdown Flush is one of the few laxative supplements that publish a warning about the possible negative effects of taking a laxative. According to the warning, dieters should not take the supplement for more than seven days. There is also a warning about electrolyte loss.
- All of the ingredients found in Slimdown Flush are listed online.
- The dieter will notice a change in bowel habits – relief from constipation.
- Laxatives are not a viable kickstart for weight loss.
- Long-term use of laxatives can lead to negative side effects like dehydration and electrolyte loss.
Slimdown Flush is not a safe and effective weight loss supplement. Using this product will only increase the number of times you visit the bathroom and remove crucial vitamins, minerals and nutrients from the intestines before absorption can take place. Cramping, diarrhea and dehydration are just a few of the potential side effects. You should never take Slimdown Flush within two hours of taking prescription medications as they may not have time to absorb before being pushed out of the body.
