Slimmies are small chocolate chews designed to decrease hunger. The supplement facts on the official website list only one ingredient, though we know there are more ingredients in the supplement, including flavoring. The active ingredient is a great source of fiber, but fiber is not the ultimate appetite suppressant. Appetite suppressants are only one part of weight loss, the dieter must eat a healthy diet and exercise to lose weight and keep the weight off. Slimmies are available from the official website and retail stores like Walgreens.

The complete ingredient list for Slimmies was found on the Walgreens website. Just as we expected, there are more ingredients than Glucomannan. Glucomannan is a form of fiber that dissolves in water. The idea is to take the fiber and drink lots of water. The fiber will expand in the stomach and leave the dieter feeling full. There is a problem with this theory, however. The dieter may not feel like eating as much, but they will not necessarily feel like eating something healthy. Eating a small portion of food extremely high in calories is not going to help a dieter lose weight.
Aside from the glucomannan, there are no other ingredients to promote weight loss. We did find a few grams of sugar alcohols, which could cause stomach discomfort, gas, bloating and diarrhea.
According to the clinical reference on the Walgreens website, dieters using Slimmies for weight loss averaged 5.5 pounds lost after 8 weeks. This is less than 2 pounds a week, the average healthy weight loss.
The dieter is supposed to take up to 4 Slimmies per day, one hour before meals or snacks. Each package contains only 30 Slimmies, which means then dieter would need to purchase 4 packages per month.

Slimmies is a novel concept, but there is nothing special about this supplement. The dieter can take any fiber supplement and achieve the same results. The average weight loss is dismal. The dieter could exercise every day and continue eating the same diet they’ve always eaten and lose more than 5 pounds in two months. There is no mention of a diet plan included with Slimmies, which means the dieter is left to find a diet and exercise plan to promote weight loss.
