South Beach Acai Review
What You Should Know
South Beach Acai was a supplement marketed for weight loss using the South Beach diet name. The official website is no longer operational and no official information could be found on the supplement. Third party websites do continue to list the product though the only place currently selling South Beach Acai is bidding websites like eBay. The price listed for South Beach Acai is $12.95 per bottle, but the link leads to a 100% Acai product and not the South Beach Acai supplement.
List of Ingredients
Cascara Sagrada, Psyllium Husk, Ginger, Fennel Root, Licorice Root, Rhubarb, Buckthorn, Hoodia Gordonii, Green Tea Extract and Acai Berry.
South Beach Acai includes several natural laxatives in the ingredient list. For some people this could be a problem, but the dieter must remember the supplement was created for use with a low carbohydrate diet, South Beach. When eating low carb, dieters commonly complain of constipation and thus the inclusion of laxatives in the South Beach Acai product. The laxatives will not increase weight loss, but may help prevent constipation.
Other ingredients include green tea, which is proven to increase metabolism and Hoodia Gordonii. Hoodia Gordonii is an appetite suppressant that has been clinically proven NOT to decrease hunger. There is no reason for a dieter to choose any weight loss product with this appetite suppressant.
Acai Berry, the star ingredient, is an anti-oxidant. There are no weight loss benefits, direct or otherwise, linked to the açai berry. Acai berries work to heal cells of the body that have been taken over by free radicals. This may improve overall health and skin integrity, but not movement on the scale.
South Beach Acai could not be found online for sale at this time. The official website is no longer up and running. It seems as though the dieter will have to look elsewhere for a proven weight loss product that will increase metabolism.
- Green tea improves metabolism.
- Natural laxatives may help fight off low carb constipation.
- The majority of the ingredients are natural laxatives.
- No stimulants are included in the formula.
- Hoodia Gordonii is not an effective appetite suppressant.
The South Beach Acai supplement was created for use with the South Beach diet. The diet has undergone some rewrites and changes over the years but remains one of the more popular low carbohydrates diets used today. This supplement could have helped the low carb eater to fight off constipation that is common when carb levels are reduced to extremely low levels. The lack of an official website and no listings with online vitamin companies probably means the supplement is no longer available for sale. Dieters may have to look elsewhere for a proven supplement.
