STS Red Heat Extreme Review
What You Should Know
STS Red Heat Extreme claims to increase circulation and prepare the body for that next workout. The supplement is taken about 30 minutes before hitting the gym. Vasodilators would be perfect ingredients in this type of supplement, but STS Sports Nutrition chooses a B vitamin and stimulants. There is a reason why the B vitamin is included and it has little to do with increasing circulation.
STS Sports lists ingredients that are easy to find. All ingredients show how much are included in the formula. There is 250 mg of green tea that supplies 125 mg of caffeine per serving. This is not a lot of caffeine, but the other ingredient is also a stimulant; compounding the heart boosting effects.
STS Red Heat Extreme sells for $15.99, less than other fat burners. The product is not safe for use by people who have heart problems because hypertension may be a side effect.
List of Ingredients
Niacin, Yerba Mate and Green Tea Leaf Extract.
Niacin is a B vitamin that plays a part in energy production and movement on a cellular level. We believe this ingredient is included for another reason, however. Niacin causes flushing. Flushing causes the dieter to feel flushed, hot and sweaty. Some natural supplements aim at increasing energy or fat loss include Niacin to create the “feeling” of the supplement working. The reason in the body is similar to a hot flash.
Yerba mate is a stimulant. Stimulants are commonly used in fat burners and weight loss supplements to boost heart rate and metabolism. In this case, the manufacturer includes yerba mate to increase heart rate and dilate blood vessels. This means dieters with health problems should ask their attending physician before taking STS Red Heat Extreme.
Green tea leaf extract is a proven ingredient for weight loss, but only in amounts of around 350 mg. This supplement does not contain that much green tea, but the green tea it does contain packs 125 mg of caffeine. That is a good boost of energy for the user. Dieters who are sensitive to stimulants may feel jitters and nausea after taking STS Red Heat Extreme because of the multiple stimulants.
- Research supports green tea for weight loss.
- Yerba mate may boost energy.
- The price is lower than most fat burners.
- Niacin causes a flushing effect that may be uncomfortable for some dieters.
- The supplement may be too overpowering for some dieters who do not take stimulants.
STS Red Heat Extreme is more of a fat burner or energy supplement than a vasodilator, but the ingredients are not included in the right amounts to boost metabolism. We suggest choosing another pre-workout supplement with herbal vasodilators.
