Super Colon Cleanse 1800 Review
What You Should Know
Super Colon Cleanse 1800 is a natural laxative, but the product description and before and after photos on the official website mention weight loss. Weight loss associated with colon cleansing supplements is often considered temporary as the body will hold on to waste until all nutrients have been absorbed and then naturally expel the waste. The idea that the body holds on to 10, 20 or even 25 pounds of waste causing weight gain is not clinically proven or supported – so why all the attention to colon cleansers as weight loss supplements?
List of Ingredients
- Senna Leaf Extract
- Acai Berry Extract
- Cascara Sagrada Extract
- Rhubarb Extract
- Licorice Extract
We found multiple websites for Super Colon Cleanse 1800, most of which promoted the benefits of the supplement as a means of convincing the reader to click an affiliate link. All the affiliate links we came in contact with did lead to a colon cleanser website, but not a website for Super Colon Cleanse 1800. It appears the company behind the affiliate program changed names and forgot to mention it to the affiliates marketing the supplement.
We were able to find a few listings for the supplement on Amazon.com, though none of the listings offers a complete ingredient list. We finally stumbled on one affiliate site with a few ingredients listed, but the ingredients were noted as key ingredients, which leaves open the possibility that other ingredients in formula are not listed.
Senna and cascara sagrada are natural stimulant laxatives. These herbs cause the muscles of the intestines to seize up and force waste out of the body. Users may feel cramping and suffer diarrhea after taking Super Colon Cleanse 1800. The other ingredients have no impact on colon cleansing or weight loss and the fact that they are combined with stimulant laxatives means they will not spend enough time in the intestine to be absorbed anyway.
- Ingredients (some) are listed online.
- Not a safe weight loss formula.
- Could cause negative side effects like diarrhea and cramping.
- Some users reported anal bleeding after taking the supplement.
There may be a place for laxatives for the occasional treatment of constipation, especially in dieters following a reduced calorie/reduce fat diet, but that does not mean all dieters need to take a laxative like Super Colon Cleanse 1800 to lose weight. If you find a colon cleansing supplement with multiple websites, affiliate links and weight loss claims you should steer clear and choose a supplement dedicated to weight loss.
