Sweet Trim Review
What You Should Know
Sweet Trim is a weight loss product from Brightcore Nutrition. The supplement contains just 12 ingredients, none of which have stimulant, laxative or diuretic properties. The supplement is generally safe for all dieters, but it may not increase weight loss the way Brightcore Nutrition claims it will. There is no substantial clinical support for any of the ingredients, despite the information provided by the company. We are specifically concerned with the supplement’s claim to reduce sugar absorption. The body will metabolize sugars as energy and there are no ingredients in Sweet Trim to stop that process.
List of Ingredients
- Green Coffee Bean
- Raspberry Ketones
- African Mango
- Acai Berry
- Vitamin B12
- Apple Cider Vinegar
- Ceylon Cinnamon
- Cayenne Pepper
- Sweet Wheat Grass Juice Powder
Green coffee bean is a popular weight loss ingredient thanks to celebrity doctors and fitness buffs claiming chlorogenic acid can make weight loss easier. At best, studies supporting chlorogenic acid have a very small participant pool and lax protocols. We were unable to find a single large-scale random study completed by a third-party company that proved chlorogenic acid increases weight loss.
Raspberry ketones is another popular ingredient with little to no clinical support. Dr. Mehmet Oz, celebrity health guru, is partially responsible for the popularity of this ingredient. There are a few small animal studies and some lax human studies, but science has not proven raspberry ketones increase weight loss.
African mango is the best ingredient in the formula. The seed supplies fiber and healthy fats – both generally missing from the average weight loss diet. The claim that African mango increases weight loss is based on small-scale studies – larger studies are needed to reinforce weight loss claims.
Acai berry is an antioxidant that may help fight free radical damage. Free radicals are produced in larger numbers when metabolism increases, but acai berry is not directly linked to weight loss.
Vitamin B12 is typically included as a natural energy booster. The body does not store extra vitamin B12, so once the body has used all the vitamin B12 it needs the rest will be extracted in urine. You may notice the color of your urine change soon after taking a supplement that contains B vitamins for this reason.
