What You Should Know
Synerlin is a Swedish fat burner with just three ingredients. The company behind the supplement is Self Omninutrition. According to the company, the formula should be taken before working out for best results, but there are no strict guidelines for taking the supplement as long as you take no more than two per day. The product description is rather short and to the point. The formula increases energy and helps promote fat burn. There is some clinical evidence that two of the three ingredients in Synerlin do just that but the company doesn’t bother listing these studies.
Synerlin is not available from a company in the United States. We found it listed for sale on the Swedish website. As of 2012, you can buy two bottles and get the third free, but there is no mention of a free trial.
List of Ingredients
- Citrus Aurantium
- Green Tea Extract
The three ingredients in Synerlin are commonly used in weight loss products in the United States. The formula is straight-forward with no hidden ingredients, which is a welcome change. But, just like companies in the United States, Self Omninutrition does not offer much in terms of clinical support. We found no links to studies supporting the ingredients that currently have clinical support.
Citrus aurantium is a cousin of the once popular fat burner ephedra. While ephedra is still available over the counter, purchases are regulated in the US. Synephrine, another name for citrus aurantium, may cause some of the same side effects as ephedra.
Caffeine is proven and trusted, in the right quantities. Synerlin contains more than enough caffeine for one dieter per dose, but the company pushes the caffeine intake ever further by allowing the dieter to take two tablets instead of just one. There is 125 mg of caffeine per tablet.
Green tea extract is another proven ingredient, but there is no enough green tea per serving – even with a double serving. We’d like to see more green tea and less caffeine.
There is also no appetite suppressant in Synerlin, but the excessive amount of caffeine could cause loss of appetite.
- All ingredients are listed online.
- Contains caffeine and green tea.
- May increase metabolism and promote weight loss.
- Contains too much caffeine.
- The full dose could cause negative side effects like racing heart beat and nausea.
Synerlin may not be available in the US for good reason. While the formula looks safe enough with just three ingredients, some supplements are unsafe with just one ingredient. This supplement is too strong for most dieters and should not be taken unless the dieter knows how they react to caffeine.
