What You Should Know
Thermogold is a Champion Nutrition fat burner. The product description on several websites read the same, so it is probably a generic description that comes with the product rights to sell. The product description claims the supplement will boost energy and help the dieter feel more alert. This claim comes before the claim of increased fat loss. Supposedly the increased energy leads to increased movement and metabolism, which in turn increases fat loss because the body transforms fat to energy.
The price of the supplement is less than most fat burners at about $20 a bottle, as of 2012. There are no testimonials or pictures showing how much weight users have lost.
List of Ingredients
- 1, 3 Dimethylamylamine
- Synephrine HCL
- Phenylethylamine HCL
- N-Methyl-B-Phenylethylamine HCL
- Yohimbine HCL
- Black Pepper Extract
Caffeine is a strong, proven stimulant. It increases energy by affecting the central nervous system. Caffeine is also addictive and can be too harsh for some dieters. There is 200 mg of caffeine per dose. That is more than twice the amount needed to increase energy and the same amount found in no-sleep supplements.
1, 3 Dimethylamylamine is another stimulant. This one has been associated with negative cardiovascular side effects; particularly heart palpitations. You may also find this ingredient on the label as geranium or germanium oil.
Synephrine is that old standby that took the spotlight when ephedra fell from grace. Synephrine likely increases energy, but it also causes some of the same side effects as ephedra – so steer clear of large doses or any dose is you want a completely safe fat burner.
The Phenyl-Blend is our least favorite ingredient set. Phenylethylamines, no matter how different each derivative may be, all affect mood on a level that can be dangerous if there is a psychiatric condition (diagnosed or undiagnosed). If you are taking any medications that alter mood – do NOT take phenylethylamines.
- All ingredients are listed in the product description.
- Most of the ingredients show the total amount included in the supplement.
- The dieter may feel increased energy and reduced hunger.
- There are unsafe ingredients in the formula.
- The lack of testimonials leaves the dieter wondering if the supplement really works.
- Thermogold is from a company more well-known for sports equipment than supplements.
Thermogold is not the safest or most effective fat burner on the market, but it will increase your energy and may help you feel like moving more. There are some unsafe ingredients in this supplement. Those ingredients may cause heart-related side effects – so beware.
