Thiomuplex is a skin cream designed to tighten skin before a bodybuilding competition. Previously, the product sold in the United States was Thiomucase. Thiomucase contained different ingredients than Thiomuplex, but was banned for use in the United States. The original version is still available in France and may be imported into the US, but the buyer risks having the product confiscated at the border.

Skin tightening products are huge to the bodybuilding trade. After cutting, the skin may appear sagging and thin. Skin tightening creams pull the water out of the skin and force it tighter, taking away the sag. Muscles look more defined and the overall physique of the bodybuilder improves, if only temporarily.

Product Features

There are two quite different ingredient lists for these products. The first is a US product that claims to work just as well as the second, but reviews comparing Thiomuplex and Thiomucase lean on the side of Thiomucase. In the 1990s, the product was even available in injected form so the bodybuilder could tighten the skin in a specific area of the body.

There are no current Thiomuplex tubes for sale. Every time we find a website claiming to sell the skin-tightening cream, it reverts to a different product. The original Thiomucase is available, however, in France.

  • Ingredients are listed online.
  • May hydrate and tighten skin.

  • Take-off of an original product that worked.
  • May not be as effective as the original.
  • Reviews for Thiomuplex are horrible.

If you want to tighten skin before a competition, your best bet is to visit a bodybuilding forum and ask for skin tightening suggestions. Thiomuplex is not currently available and it is a bad take off of a proven skin tightener used in the 90s.
