Thyroid T3 is the hormone that causes the metabolism to work properly. Without it, a patient can gain weight, be very sensitive to temperature, be very tired most of the time, be depressed, and have other effects, such as dry skin. These effects can also come from having a low level of T3, something that can go unnoticed except for the symptoms. Generally the condition is known as hypothyroidism. The usual treatment for a low T3 level is to take more T3, usually under a doctor’s direction. There is both a synthetic form of T3 and a natural form that are available. Someone who has the symptoms of a low T3 level should see a physician to have medical testing done.

Product Features

Depending on the patient’s condition, T3 can be obtained both over the counter and by prescription, though the natural version can only be obtained by prescription. Those who do have a low level of T3 have reported much improvement after beginning to take T3. The result is generally a better quality of life because the patient feels so much better. Weight loss can result from treatment with T3, because the metabolism is then working at a normal pace instead of being sluggish.

If there are side effects, they would most likely be related to hyperthyroidism, a condition in which the thyroid is running too fast, and the metabolism speeds up. Patients with this condition lose weight rapidly and often have an unpleasantly fast heart rate. Despite the weight loss, this condition is dangerous because it is harder on the heart and draining on the body. There is also a certain diet aid known as San T3, which is not the thyroid hormone, despite the misleading name. Patients who do need thyroid treatment should be careful when encountering such products, because they are not a replacement for the natural hormone.

One of the good outcomes of taking T3 is weight loss, though the hormone should not be used with the intent of weight loss. It is essential for a properly functioning thyroid and should be used as such. The effect of taking it means a better quality of life for those who have hypothyroidism and it should not be taken by those who have a healthy thyroid.

Advantages

  • Better health.
  • Improved quality of life.

Disadvantages

  • Can only be obtained by prescription if one is using the natural T3.

Conclusion

T3 is a natural part of the human body that keeps the thyroid functioning. It is necessary for keeping the human body healthy as well and keeping someone feeling well as well as functioning well. If someone thinks they may have a low level of T3 or a slow-functioning thyroid, they should see a physician. T3 may be the answer for those who feel tired and gain weight with no other explanation.

For everyone who is having symptoms and their blood work looks normal take a look at Wilson temp syndrome. Also, I am on a compounded T3 regiment taken 12hrs to the min. I have to check my pulse and temp and chart it. I just started. I have had horrible menses with unbearable bleeding constantly cold and on a 900-1000 cal diet with exercise with little results. I hope this helps..don’t give up AND REMEMBER YOU KNOW WHEN SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH YOUR BODY.If you Dr. will not listen kindly tell him/her to f*@k off and remove the wax in their ears, there are great doctors out there.

I recently had a TSH test…everything was normal except T3 was 74. Is that bad?? Also, what should the normal T3 be?? Thanks for any advice you can give me.

Just had my second thyroid test. TSH went from 4.68 to .567. Total T3 reading is 2.6. My Dr. says everything is ok. I say I need a new Dr.as I feel sluggish, keep gaining weight and cold all the time. What is your opinion?

only free t3 on a test will show how much of the metabolic hormone you have in your body…tsh, free t4 and free t3 should always be ordered to see the full picture of how the thyroid is responding to medication and also taken in account symptoms

What can be the cause for one`s thyroid to produce a count 6 on your T3 and a count 16 for your T4 test. This is what the blood test showed on 3 different times. Thanks
