Can a dieter improve their BMI, loss weight/inches, increase strength and sculpt their bodies in 30-days? The Total Gym GTS claims it is the answer to the question. The commercial-grade fitness equipment is taking the fitness world by storm. The machine is now a staple in fitness clubs across the country through the Gravity fitness program. The Total Gym GTS is not a new piece of fitness equipment, just an upgrade to the traditional model.

List of Ingredients

Commercial-grade fitness equipment featuring a glideboard and accessories.

Product Features

The Total Gym GTS is commercial grade home gym featuring an adjustable glideboard designed to promote spinal alignment. The product uses body weight instead of traditional free weight resistance. The maximum resistance equals 62% of the user’s bodyweight. Accessories include a lat bar, instructional DVD, and exercise wall chart.

We like the transparency provided by the Total Gym GTS regarding the user weight/height recommendations. The maximum user weight is 350 lbs., while the maximum user height is 6’5”. Although the recommendations are clear, we found the user could potentially exit from the Total Gym GTS with difficulty.

The compact design is ideal for the dieter living in a small space. Unfolded, the Total Gym GTS uses 7 feet by 3 feet. Folded, the Total Gym GTS uses 2 feet by three feet. Attached wheel allow the user to move the Total Gym GTS freely across a room. The only issues we found with moving the Total Gym GTS is the weight of the machine. At 181 lbs., moving could potentially become a struggle for someone without sufficient strength.

The cost of the Total Gym GTS is extremely expensive. We found the Total Gym GTS on the official website for $3500. Considering the product does not offer anything new compared to the base model Total Gym, we feel the product is overpriced.

Advantages

  • 30-day trial.
  • Instructional DVD included.
  • Available the official website.
  • Space saving design.
  • Maximum user weight of 350 lbs.

Disadvantage

  • Designed for commercial use.
  • Expensive.
  • No online testimonials.
  • Claims not supported by scientific research.

Conclusion

We like the Total Gym GTS. We just don’t like the fact it claims to increase metabolism, improve BMI, improve weight loss without scientific research. The only information provided is the amount of users the Total Gym GTS serves per year. This leads us to believe the Total Gym GTS simply wants to impress with numbers and not proven results.

The Total Gym GTS is used primarily in commercial settings, but is available for home use. The benefit of using the Total Gym GTS at a fitness club is the dieter does not have to foot the bill for the product. But the price of a health club membership could exceed the price of the Total Gym GTS. With a price tag of $3500, a cost conscience will have to weigh the benefits of home use verses fitness club use.
