USP Labs Pink Magic Review
What You Should Know
Male bodybuilders are constantly on the lookout for the next supplement that will boost testosterone levels naturally for increased muscle gains, size and strength. There are plenty of chemically synthesized ingredients on the market, but a truly holistic approach is hard to find. According to the product description, USP Labs Pink Magic claims they use only the ingredients they need to boost testosterone and nothing else. As they put it, they do not need “the kitchen sink”.
List of Ingredients
Proprietary Blend: Masslaria Acuminate, Nelumbo Nucifera and Rhamnus Nakahari.
The three ingredients in this supplement are unique and certainly not common to any of the weight loss supplements we have looked at in the past. Before focusing on each ingredient, it is important to note that testosterone supplements are not commonly used for weight loss or by women. There can be serious side effects for women if they take supplements that actually work to increase testosterone. Women have low levels of the male hormone in the body anyway, so boosters can certainly boost that amount.
Masslaria Acuminate was tested in rodents for effect on testosterone levels. The effect was there but only in mega doses of the ingredient. At maximum dose, the rodents were given 1000 mg per kg of weight. That means a bodybuilder weighing 220 pounds would have to take 100 grams of the supplement per day for at least 21 days to see a benefit in testicular testosterone levels. Serum and free testosterone levels were never tested. Nelumbo Nucifera is the lotus flower and though it makes a pretty tasty mooncake, there are no testosterone boosting side effects from consumption. Rhamnus Nakahari is an anti-oxidant that can increase cholesterol levels in humans. Dieters can expect to pay $50 or $60 for this ineffective supplement.
- One ingredient has been shown to raise testosterone levels in extremely high doses – not included in the supplement.
- Ingredients are ineffective.
- Bodybuilders have listed complaints about the supplement and how it lacks effectiveness.
- The price is too high.
- No positive testimonials.
USP Labs Pink Magic sells a variety of well liked bodybuilding supplements, but USP Labs Pink Magic is not one of those supplements. Two of the ingredients will not boost testosterone at all. One may raise cholesterol levels and the final ingredient raises testicular testosterone (commonly referred to as the maturation testosterone) if the bodybuilder takes 100 grams or more for at least 21 days straight.
We support bodybuilding and the choice to improve muscle physique, but this supplement will not help increase muscle mass or strength. For the dieter, there is no benefit we could find to promote weight loss or fat loss.
