Weider Super Nova Review
What You Should Know
Weider Super Nova is an interesting name for an interesting supplement. We just recently realized that many US-based supplement companies offer supplements in other countries that aren’t sold in the US. Take Weider Super Nova, for instance. This supplement contains many of the same ingredients found in Weider fat burners sold in the US, but it is not available on any US-based website. The formula for Weider Super Nova is nearly identical to other fat burners in the US, so we’re unsure why there are completely different supplement lines in other countries.
List of Ingredients
- Green Tea Extract
- Citrus Aurantium Extract
- Synephrine Alkaloids
- Vitamin C
- White Willow Bark
Super Nova starts off with green tea, but there’s only 32mg of green tea. That is about 270mg less than is needed to boost metabolism. Next on the list is caffeine – 224mg. This amount of caffeine is sure to increase heart rate and possibly cause negative side effects for most dieters. Citrus aurantium or synephrine follows the caffeine. This is another stimulant commonly used to replace ephedra in formulas that used to contain the now banned ingredient. The US is not the only country that banned ephedra, which is likely why synephrine is included in this supplement.
The white willow bark is an alternative to aspirin. The caffeine, synephrine and white willow bark make up the current alternative to the old ECA (ephedra, caffeine, aspirin) stack. Chromium, a natural appetite suppressant, rounds out the list.

Weider Super Nova is a super stimulant. This supplement is clearly designed for people who are used to taking stimulants. Weider is a nutrition company associated with bodybuilding. Bodybuilders tend to take higher concentrations of fat burners and stimulants, so we can understand why Weider would release this type of supplement, but we are not inclined to tell the average dieter this is a good choice. Strong stimulants are linked to negative side effects, including increased heart rate, increased blood pressure and shakiness.
