Whole Health CortiFit aims to control cortisol levels. When a dieter feels stressed, cortisol levels rise and fat is stored on the mid-section. There are several supplements claiming to control cortisol and most contain some form of mood booster or mood stabilizer. These ingredients are not safe for dieters who have mental health issues, even if those issues are not diagnosed by a medical professional. The majority of the ingredients in Whole Health CortiFit are found in the average multi-vitamin. B vitamins aid in energy production and may give the dieter a brief boost of energy. Chromium helps control blood glucose levels and hunger. Green tea extract is a proven metabolism booster. We love the fact that Whole Health CortiFit contains 400 mg of green tea per serving. Clinical studies support using 350 mg of green tea or more for optimal effect.

Hoodia gordonii is supposed to suppress appetite. Clinical testing does not support this claim. P57 is the active ingredient in hoodia that is supposed to block hunger by signally the brain that the stomach is full. Unfortunately, P57 is metabolized before it makes it to the brain.

Guarana is a stimulant. It will increase heart rate and energy, but it does not have the proven weight loss benefits of pure caffeine. The guarana in Whole Health CortiFit is standardized to 22-percent caffeine. Luckily, green tea contains caffeine.

Few weight loss supplements contain enough green tea to boost weight loss or metabolism. The supplement includes a bit of caffeine, via guarana, but it may not be enough to promote metabolism. We know green tea adds to the overall caffeine level, but the product label does not tell the dieter how much. The price is low enough to make this supplement worth a try.
