What You Should Know
Xenadrine NRG supplies a good source of stimulants for energy, so goes the name NRG. Xenadrine products are no longer being formulated by Cytodyne Labs, as far as we can tell. The company has chosen to reformulate all supplement and every website has been shut down at this point. Xenadrine NRG is not for the faint of heart or those sensitive to caffeine. Every ingredient in the formula will boost heart rate and should not be taken within five to six hours of bedtime.
List of Ingredients
Vitamin B12, Norambrolide.
Proprietary Thermoxanthin Blend: L-Tyrosine, Yerba Mate Leaf, Guarana Seed Extract, Green Tea Extract, Green Coffee Bean Extract, Natural Caffeine.
The only ingredients in Xenadrine NRG that are NOT stimulants are L-Tyrosine, Vitamin B12 and Norambrolide. L-Tyrosine is an amino acid that has been tested in animals for it’s effect on weight loss. Clinical trials concluded the animal subjects showed reduced signs of stress and possibly weight loss from reduced stress hormones. Norambrolide is sold as a c-AMP accelerator, but has no proven effect on weight loss. Vitamin B12 is a natural B vitamin used for energy but it is not a stimulant.
The remaining ingredients are all stimulants. Green tea has been tested in weight reduction and proven to be effective as such. Green tea must be consumed in certain amounts and since these ingredients are included in a proprietary blend the dieter has no idea how much is included.
When a supplement like Xenadrine NRG packs many stimulants into one complex, they reduce the number of dieters that can take the supplement. Not all dieters are used to caffeine at this level and if they are caffeine sensitive the supplement could cause negative side effects like increased blood pressure and heart rate.
Xenadrine NRG does not appear to be currently available from Cytodyne Labs. Online retailers are probably selling old stores of the supplement. The product sells for $26.79 per bottle.

When a weight loss supplement includes multiple supplements, increased heart rate leads to increased calorie burn. This can be directly linked to hunger, which is a common reason many manufacturers choose to add appetite suppressants. Xenadrine NRG is all about the energy and not about weight loss. We cannot support a supplement that could be ineffective or dangerous for some dieters. Instead, we choose to support supplements with proven ingredients that are safe for all dieters.
