Z-Burn Review - Does This Sleep Aid Really Work?

By Summer Banks on Nov 17, 2016
Z-Burn Review

Z-Burn is a diet product I will surely never forget. We took our time researching the ingredients, side effects, and scientific studies to create this comprehensive review. Then we scoured online sources to analyze consumer comments. Finally, we compressed all the data we collected to give you the facts.

EDITOR'S TIP:

What is Z-Burn?

The begin with Z-Burn is a weight-loss supplement and sleep aid. The ingredients are vitamin B-6, magnesium, zinc, chromium, and a proprietary blend that includes L-glutamine, L-theanine, resveratrol, valerian extract, and melatonin. There are no stimulants, so you don’t have to worry about side effects associated with those.

Z-Burn is made by Fitness One Formulas which is in Miami, Florida. Per the official website, the company is comprised of scientists, nutritionists, personal trainers, and health experts devoted to helping consumers achieve their goals, but read on…

Z-Burn Side Effects – “Concerning”

The first concern we have is with the potential side effects. Most of the ingredients are considered safe but the two sleep aids may cause some problems. According to our Research Editor, “Melatonin in particular has the potential to create a number of problems, including feelings of depression, daytime drowsiness, and irritability. This isn’t disclosed on the official marketing material.”

This aggravated purchaser claimed, “I took this because I needed something without stimulants. But this gave me horrible headaches and I was sleepy all the time.”

Another grumbled, “I become so depressed I could hardly function. It took me days to figure out why and stop taking it.”

Not everyone experienced negative side effects.

A cheerful shopper said, “I lost weight and slept like a baby, it’s great.”

One chipper woman explained, “I have trouble with nighttime cravings and this really helped me get over that.”

Cost – “Too High?”

This is primarily a sleep aid with minimal ingredients directly linked to weight-loss. At almost $50 a month, many thought the cost was higher than it should be.

An annoyed man complained, “This didn’t help me lose weight and I can’t afford that much for a little more sleep.”

Which was like the individual who noted, “I did sleep better but the point of spending that much was to lose weight.”

Others were happy with their results and the cost.

This satisfied commenter mentioned, “I get bored when I can’t sleep and I snack. This helped me stay asleep so I lost weight. That’s worth every penny.”

While another stated, “When I’m well rested it makes it easier to stay on my diet plan so this worked great for me.”

According to our research, consumers have a right to be prepared for any potential side effects they may experience. When a company fails to make them aware that some may be some, that could be a problem, which is what happened with Z-Burn.

The Science – “More Research Needed”

At DietSpotlight we are always interested in new methods of helping consumers achieve their weight-loss goals. There have been some promising studies on the link between being well rested and losing weight. There have even been some that specifically focused on melatonin and valerian. However, the amounts and methods used in these studies were not the same as the product and it is impossible to tell if the results would be similar.

The Bottom Line – Does Z-Burn Work?

Is it time to clear the shelves Z-Burn? If you need help falling asleep and staying asleep and are confident that the ingredients do not cause adverse side effects for you, this may be worth checking out. However, the lack of proof that it will promote weight-loss makes it difficult for us to give it our support for that purpose.

If you want to drop those extra pounds, why not try a product that is specifically designed to help shed fat? One with ingredients that are backed by solid scientific research and a company that is willing to explain exactly how they work together to promote real weight-loss.

Among the best products we’ve seen in 2016 is one called Leptigen. It contains a combination of four key ingredients, which have been shown in documented clinical research to help kick-start metabolism and boost fat loss. We could not pinpoint any negative user feedback online, but customer responses around the web reveal people are seeing excellent results.

The makers of Leptigen are so confident in how well their product will work they’re offering a Special Trial Offer. Fantastic!

How Does Z-Burn Compare?

Previous Z-Burn Review (Updated August 14, 2013):

What You Should Know

Z-Burn is a nighttime weight loss aid with quite the impressive official website. From the start, the dieter is told they can try the supplement for 30 days without risk. The guarantee claims the dieter can try the formula and if they are not satisfied return the product for a full refund (including shipping) and the company will add 10% onto the refund for simply trying the product. There are some problems with the product and website, however.

List of Ingredients

Ingredients:
  • L-Glutamine
  • Zinc
  • Chromium
  • Resveratrol
  • Magnesium
  • L-Theanine
  • Melatonin
  • Vitamin B6
  • Valerian Root

Product Features

First and foremost, let us take the guarantee head on. There is no contact page, no detailed information about how to return the product and no terms and conditions on the official website. If you click on the FAQ page you will notice an email link. You can email Michael at Z-Burn directly, but the only guarantee you have that the company will actually return your money is that single statement on the front page of the website. The company contact information is another issue. There is only a PO Box listed a box in Miami, FL. If the facility that produces Z-Burn is FDA-Compliant, why is there no physical address for the facility? To make matters worse, there is no cart available for checkout. Customers are asked to pay for the purchase using Paypal. The Buy Now link takes the buyer directly to the Paypal login page. As for the ingredients, we have nothing bad to say. None of the ingredients will stimulate heart rate or increase blood pressure. Valerian root and melatonin are commonly used to improve sleep or help the user fall asleep faster. Chromium can help control blood glucose fending off those overnight eating urges. Most of the remaining ingredients are commonly found in safe supplements or multivitamins.

Advantages

  • Z-Burn may help improve sleep.
  • Ingredients are listed online.

Disadvantages

  • There needs to be more information on the guarantee.
  • The product will not increase fat loss.

Conclusion

We see Z-Burn as a sleep supplement that could help dieters fight off overnight urges to eat. There are many dieters who claim they are fine during the day, but they feel an extreme urge to eat in the middle of the night leading to weight gain. Z-Burn could help control those overnight hunger pangs, but it will not necessarily increase weight loss for the average dieter.
