Zing Bars Review
What You Should Know
Zing Bars are a line of gluten-free nutrition bars. According to the Zing company, the bars are safe for kids, ideal for weight loss and have a low glycemic index so they won’t affect blood glucose levels. There are tons of nutrition bars and meal replacements that make the same claims, so what exactly sets Zing Bars apart from the competition? We’ve listed the ingredients in one flavor of Zing Bar. Every flavor has the same base ingredients, but some differences exist between flavors.
List of Ingredients
- Almond Butter
- Rice Protein Concentrate
- Organic Agave Syrup
- Organic Dark Chocolate
- Organic Tapioca Syrup
- Chicory Root Fiber
- Organic Brown Rice Crisp
- Unsweetened Coconut
- Roasted Almonds
- Natural Coconut Flavor
- Mixed Tocopherols
- Sea Salt
The main push for Zing Bars is the fact that they are diary free, gluten free, wheat free and soy free. They are NOT, however, nut free. The bars were designed for patients with celiac disease, according to the product description, but there is mention of weight loss. From a nutrition standpoint, each bar contains 210 calories, 10 grams of fat, 25 grams of carbohydrates (with 6 grams of fiber) and 10 grams of protein. There are no vitamin profiles to speak of – 0 vitamin A and 0 vitamin C.
Pictures of Zing Bars are available on the site. The bars look no different from other nutrition bars available in your local grocery store and many other brands contain complete vitamin profiles so the bars can be used as meal replacement options. We found only a few testimonials. Some consumers complained of a gritty taste and others loved the texture, but with some bars having only one review there is very little consumer response to go on.
There is a good chance dieters will not find Zing Bars in their local area. Stores like HEB, Safeway, Whole Foods and Vons sell the bars. You can also order Zing Bars online, but the cost is $3.49 per bar –much higher than comparable products from other brands.
- Ingredients for all Zing Bar flavors are listed on the official website.
- You can purchase Zing Bars online.
- Zing Bars are not available from all grocery stores.
- One bar costs $3.49.
- There are no added vitamins so Zing Bars are not a good meal replacement bar.
Zing Bars are a healthy option for people with celiac disease and gluten-related digestive issues. The bars are also safe for people with certain food allergies. Zing Bars are not necessarily ideal as part of your weight loss program.
