What You Should Know
Zymax is a detox supplement that claims to help remove toxins from the body. With the toxins gone your body is better prepared to absorb nutrients and maintain proper health. At first glance we did not notice any weight loss claims, a positive for the Zenulife company. There is a complete list of ingredients on the official website with amounts for each ingredient – another plus. Zymax is free from gluten, lactose, sugar and wheat.
List of Ingredients
- Betaine HCL
- Apple Cider Vinegar
- Caraway Seed
- Fennel Seed
- Ginger Root
- Peppermint Leaf
The ingredient list for Zymax took us by surprise. When we find detox supplements we often find a list of diuretics and laxatives packed with some healthier ingredients, but not this time. Zymax contains digestive enzymes aimed at easing digestion and helping the body naturally achieve regularity – the right way. This product is an amazing combination of ingredients that could work as claimed, but will it detox the body?
The term detox is overused in the supplement community. Detox assumes the body is packed with toxins, which is not the case. The body can naturally expel most toxins and the ones left behind are not affected by natural supplements. With that in mind, the digestive system is negatively affected by dietary choices like fast food. Living a sedentary lifestyle can also cause problems with digestion and elimination. Zymax aims to improve regularity, which may be a side effect of improved digestion, but there are some missing ingredients we’d like to see to round out the supplement.
In an effort to promote regularity Zymax is missing out on prebiotics and probiotics. The average western diet is full of foods that kill off natural bacteria – leading to digestive issues and constipation. Replacing these healthy bacteria is a great way to promote regularity and keep the body working properly. Zymax does not contain any healthy gut bacteria.
- Ingredients and amounts are listed on the official Zenulife website.
- Zymax does not contain diuretics or laxatives.
- The company does NOT claim weight loss as a benefit of the supplement.
- Zymax is missing healthy prebiotics and probiotics.
- There are no reviews of the product on the official website.
- Zenulife does sell colon cleansers with laxatives and diuretics.
- Taking Zymax with a colon cleanser will render the supplement useless.
We love Zymax, but there are other supplements from Zenulife that follow that stereotypical ingredient list of dangerous laxatives and diuretics. This product would be a great addition to a diet supplement program to promote healthy digestion and regularity, but it will not help you lose weight or maintain weight loss.
