Apidren Review - Are A Flower and Fruit Strong Enough?

Apidren is supposedly famous for its “90-day money-back guarantee.”

I like to hear things like that, but I know what you’re thinking:

What’s the catch?

It’s always nice to see that a company offers a money-back guarantee. If there’s a catch, it usually doesn’t take long to find the fine print. Apidren proudly offers refunds if you are unsatisfied “in any way.” In addition to that, they accept one open bottle and all unopened bottles within the 90 days.

This caught my attention.

Here are 5 more things you NEED to know about Apidren.

Check it out…

What is Apidren?

First off, Apidren is a weight-loss supplement. The ingredients include:

  • Sphaeranthus indicus flower extract
  • Garcinia mangostana fruit extract

The description says it should be used with a healthy diet and exercise program. Take two capsules per day, preferably one before breakfast and another at lunch. The supplement supposedly helps reduce waist size and increases weight-loss. [1]

While there’s no information about when Apidren diet pills were made available, the company behind it, Advantage Nutraceuticals, was started in 2005. You can purchase it through the official website and trusted retailers. We like that it contains a few natural ingredients and that we found some good customer comments, but read on…

Apidren Side Effects – “Too Much To Handle?”

The first negative was Apidren side effects some customers experienced. “When dieters buy supplements, they want them to work,” said our Research Editor. “But if users experience issues, they may not come back to buy more.” [2]

“I felt a bit jittery. Didn’t like it too much,” said a dieter.

“Literally did nothing but make my stomach ache the first couple of hours after I took it,” commented another.

However, some users felt differently. “I like how it didn’t make me feel jittery and it gave me energy and also curbed my appetite,” said a user. [3]

Apidren Diet Pill – “Where Are the Results?”

According to customer comments, Apidren ingredients didn’t produce results. “It does not work at all. Do not waste your time or money,” stated a dieter.

“Didn’t help with my appetite, didn’t help with energy,” said another.

Others did see Apidren results while using the supplement. “Rather surprised at how well it’s working,” said a customer. [4]

“It’s a good jump start to my day. When I have no energy to get out of bed I will take pill then in 20 minutes I feel better,” said another user.

Here at DietSpotlight, we found that all it takes is something small, like lack of results, to put a halt to long-term success. If Apidren doesn’t help you lose weight, it could be time to make a switch.

Apidren and Clinical Trials – “Yes, Research Exists”

Even though the official Apidren website says their ingredients are clinically-tested, they don’t offer any scientific studies to support the claims.

We found scientific studies on both ingredients in CardiaSlim, so why wouldn’t Apidren share it? At DietSpotlight, we look for science-based facts prior to making suggestions. If the evidence isn’t there, is there a value? [5]

The Bottom Line – Does Apidren Really Work?

Should you go out and order up on Apidren? Well, we like the natural ingredients and that it’s available through multiple retailers, but we’re hesitant because the company didn’t bother to share research that supports their claims.

If you are looking to boost weight-loss, we suggest going with a supplement packing ingredients that work and no reports of harmful side effects.

Among the best products we’ve seen this year is the product called Dietspotlight Burn. The supplement contains clinically-tested ingredients with results found in publications such as The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition.

Additionally, they’re so confident that you’ll love the supplement that they’re offering a Special Trial Offer, which is a good sign.

Apidren is there to help you "Jump Start Weight Loss." After going through different Apidren reviews, there is plenty of information on the official website, including the ingredient label and a number of testimonials and before and after pictures. There is science behind the formula, but it looks more like a good start rather than a finished product.

Apidren Scientific Abstracts:

Sphaeranthus Indicus Extract

Sphaeranthus Indicus is commonly used with the Ayurvedic system, one of the world’s oldest whole-body healing methods to treat disorders that impair the quality or efficiency of certain bodily functions. Disorders treated include epilepsy, mental illness, hemicranias, jaundice, hepatopathy, diabetes, leprosy, fever, pectoral Gia, cough, gastropathy, hernia, hemorrhoids, helminthiasis, dyspepsia, and skin diseases. Scientific evidence has found that this plant possesses specific behaviors such as hypotensive (lowering blood pressure), anxiolytic (anxiety reduction), and neuroleptic (nervous tension reduction).

It has also been associated with hypolipidemic (lipid lowering), immunomodulatory (immune system modification), antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, bronchodilatory, antihyperglycemic (reducing glucose levels), and hepatoprotective (prevent liver damage) functions. Biologically active compounds like sesquiterpene lactones, eudesmenolides, flavonoids, and essential oil can all be found in this plant. [1]

This plant grows through India, Sri Lanka, and Australia. It’s often recognized as a medicine used for the treatment of many illnesses such as jaundice, leprosy, fever, pectoral Gia, cough, gastropathy, hernia, hemorrhoids, helminthiasis, dyspepsia, skin diseases, anthelmintic, and a nerve tonic. Through in-vitro and in vivo biological examinations most of these claims have been reinforced.

Reports reveal that oil made from the plant’s root can be helpful in healing scrofula and used as to stimulate sexual desire. Applying a paste made from this plant to the skin can be useful for the treatment of pruritus, edema, arthritis, filariasis, gout and cervical adenopathy. Sphaeranthus Indicus was also found to be helpful in treating piles and hepatitis. [2]

Garcinia Mangostana Extract

Garcinia Mangostana has been used mainly in Southeast Asia for a long time as a medicinal plant. It is most well-known for its asset as an anti-inflammatory and can be utilized for skin infections and sores; also for disorders such as intestine infections, urinary ailments, cystitis, and gonorrhea. Products that come from garcinia mangostana are supplied all over the world now. [3]

Mangosteen (Garcinia mangostana) originates from a tropical tree found in Southeast Asia. This tree produces a fruit whose pericarp has been found to have antioxidant, antiproliferative, proapoptotic, anti-inflammatory, and anti-carcinogenic behaviors through some in vitro studies. Because of this, mangosteen is characterized as a “superfruit” and its health advantages being heavily marketed. Some health claims are attributed to products and beverages containing the superfruit. However, scientific proof is currently lacking to be able to back up using health supplements that include mangosteen. [4]

A study was done on 100 human participants using an herbal preparation of Sphaeranthus indicus and Garcinia mangostana. Participants divided into two random groups, one group getting 400mg of the herbal mixture or placebo two times a day. Everyone received three meals a day and walked for 30 minutes 5 days a week. The study ran over an eight-week period, and strong results were found in the herbal group as compared to the placebo group. The herbal group had noteworthy decreases in body weight, as well as waist and hip circumferences. It is recommended from these results that this herbal mixture seems to be an accepted and successful supplement for managing weight loss. [5]
