I paused before I hit the “publish” button on this one, because my conclusion was a bit of a shocker. We wrote one or our comprehensive reviews on BarleyMax, looking closely at the side effects, ingredients, customer-service quality and clinical studies. We also sorted through numerous user responses and comments from all over the internet. At last, we summed up all of the data we collected to give you the bottom line.

What is BarleyMax?

To start with, BarleyMax is health supplement. The ingredients include powdered juices from organic alfalfa and young barley grass. Each serving provides vitamins and minerals including calcium, manganese, vitamin a, folate, magnesium, vitamin c, iron, and vitamin k. It also offers antioxidants, live enzymes, flavonoids, trace elements, chlorophyll and essential amino acids. Add one scoop to water and drink 2-3 times daily, 20-30 minutes before meals. Supposedly, it promotes weight-loss by boosting overall health.

The company behind BarleyMax is the Hallelujah Diet. The supplement is sold through the official website in a variety of flavors. We like that it contains some natural ingredients and that we found some favorable customer comments, but read on…

Unpleasant Taste – “Can You Handle It?”

One concern we have is the unpleasant taste. According to our Research Editor, “Some customers do not care for the overall flavor and texture of BarleyMax powder. This may pose a problem. After all, you are directed to drink this stuff 2-3 times daily.”

One customer commented, “This stuff is purely nasty. It has absolutely no barley flavor at all. I forced myself to take it anyway and then burped it all morning.”

But, a different user said, “Taste is not too bad. I can handle it.”

“I do not really feel any different. Been drinking this for a week. It smells like mowed grass,” posted another.

Mild BarleyMax Side Effects – “Concerning?”

Another issue is BarleyMax side effects. Some people have reported mild adverse reactions such as bloating, gas and persistent belching. For instance, one user said, “Makes me seriously bloated. I start burping and get gassy after drinking this.”

Then again, a different customer mentioned, “Taste is not great. But you get used to it. It helps reduce my appetite. This way I eat less each meal.”

Another reported, “I think it has improved my health. I now feel more energized.”

The extensive research we’ve done has shown if there is some specific part of a health supplement or diet product that is quite bothersome (unpleasant taste, mild side effects, poor BBB rating) the odds of real success for the long haul are not good. This means if BarleyMax does in fact taste bad to a lot of people, this could be problematic.

The Science – “Is Any Presented?”

Sadly we did not find any clinical research presented on the official website for BarleyMax. However, this powder supplement does contain various vitamins and antioxidants to aid with overall health and wellness. Then again, you must be able to deal with the unpleasant flavor and mild side effects that can occur.

The Bottom Line- Does BarleyMax Work?

Now the moment you’ve been waiting for. Here is our bottom line on BarleyMax supplement drink. First off, we like that this formula is rich in vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. It’s also nice to see a return policy provided on the website. But we have some reservations about this health product because some users have experienced mild side effects. Also, we’re concerned about the less-than-savory taste some people have mentioned.

If your main goal is to shed unwanted pounds, then we suggest you go with a product that is backed by solid science, does not have an unpleasant taste and will not lead to unwanted side effects like bloating and gas.

Among the best products we’ve seen in 2016 is one called Leptigen. Its unique formula is a proprietary blend of four ingredients, some of which have been shown in published clinical research to help ignite metabolism and improve fat loss. So far we have not seen any discouraging user feedback, and comments posted online express people are seeing great results.

The makers of Leptigen are so positive about their product they’re offering a Special Trial Offer, which is uncommon.
