Cerefolin NAC Review - 6 Things You Need to Know

Looking at some health products and supplements can be painful, especially if there’s no scientific backing for the formula. Let’s find out if Cerefolin NAC is in this group. We took the time to really research and create an in-depth review, examining the side effects, ingredients, level of customer service and scientific studies. Plus we scrutinized all sorts of user comments that are posted online. At last, we summed up all of the data we collected to give you the facts you need.

What You Need To Know

First off, Cerefolin NAC ingredients are L-methylfolate (5.6mg), Methylcobalamin (2mg) and N-acetylcysteine (600mg). This is a prescription medication that aims to treat memory loss or mild cognitive impairment. Therefore it must be obtained through a licensed physician. This product is taken in accordance with your doctor’s instructions. It can be used by both women and men alike, but is not suitable for those with certain health conditions. The cost of this drug will vary depending on your insurance coverage.

The company behind Cerefolin NAC is Nestle Health Science – Pamlab, Inc. This prescription medication has been available for several years, but we are not sure when it was first created. It is regulated by the FDA. Also, this formula may specifically help with the early stages of memory loss, but read on…

Some Side Effects – “Concerning?”

According to our Research Editor, “Cerefolin NAC can lead to some mild side effects. Therefore it’s important to discuss this with your doctor before using this memory loss medication.”

As stated on drugs.com, “Cerefolin NAC side effects may include bloated feeling, headache, itching, diarrhea, mild fever, nausea and vomiting.”

However, one user reported, “I did not experience any adverse effects with this medication.”

Another posted, “Some mild diarrhea, but nothing major.”

Doctor’s Prescription – “Not Available Over-The-Counter”

It’s clear that some people do not like that Cerefolin NAC requires a prescription. Obviously this does make it more of a hassle to obtain. One person said, “You have to go in and discuss everything with your doctor first. I always hate this. That’s why I prefer over-the-counter products.”

On the other hand, a different user stated, “I like that Cerefolin NAC is a prescription product. That way I know it’s FDA approved and regulated.”

“It does help. A little pricey with my insurance, but I like the effects,” commented another.

The extensive research we’ve done has shown if there’s some particular part of a health supplement or weight-loss formula that is especially troublesome (side effects, doctor’s prescription, high price) the odds of real results for the long term are slim. This means if Cerefolin NAC does in fact lead to adverse effects in numerous users, this could be a major problem.

The Science – “Solid?”

Here at DietSpotlight, we need to see some solid studies that support the product we’re reviewing. Fortunately there is some clinical research presented on Cerefolin NAC. This formula has been shown to yield real results. However, it’s only used to treat loss of memory, not weight-loss.

What Users Are Saying

"”This medicine did not help at all.”"

"”Not sure if it helped or hurt.”"

"”I am 74 and had memory loss, fatigue, deep depression and confusion. I have taken this for 3 days and already can see a big difference in how I feel, think and function.”"

The Bottom Line – Does Cerefolin NAC Work?

So, should you run out and purchase Cerefolin NAC? Well, we do like that this product is backed by some real research. It’s also good to see that it’s FDA regulated. But we have some concerns about this memory loss formula because it can lead to mild side effects. Not to mention, some people do not like that a doctor’s prescription is required to obtain this medication.

If your goal is to shed excess pounds, then we encourage you to choose a product that contains clinically tested ingredients for weight-loss, does not lead to any unpleasant side effects and is easy to purchase on the web.

Among the best products we’ve seen this year is one called Dietspotlight Burn. This supplement contains four unique ingredients. Some of which have been shown to help speed up fat loss and boost metabolism. Furthermore, we can’t find any negative comments online, and user feedback around the web shows people are seeing excellent results.

The makers of Dietspotlight Burn are so positive about their product they’re offering a special trial offer, which is uncommon.

Product Features

Cerefolin NAC is a prescription medication used to treat memory loss in individuals by increasing certain supplements in the body which are responsible for good memory and which can pass the blood brain barrier. The first of these ingredients is L-Methylfolate. This is basically a form of folate which can easily cross the blood brain barrier. Folate is also known as vitamin B9 this is an important vitamin which can decrease memory in those individuals who are deficient in B Vitamins. Folate is also very important for pregnant women for the development of the fetus. It is cautioned that pregnant or nursing mothers should not take Cerefolin NAC. Methylcobalamin is one of the two forms of active B12. This form of B12 requires intrinsic enzymes of the stomach and intestines to be absorbed. The lack of intrinsic enzymes can create a deficiency of B12 in some individuals. B12 has long been used to boost memory in aging adults who are no longer able to absorb B12 through food. N-acetylcyseine is one of the most important key elements of this medication. Without N-acetylcyseine the body would not be able to metabolize the B12 or to eliminate oxidative stress from the cells. This is the cleanser of the neurovascular cells and tissue. It reduces or removes the oxidative stress allowing the brain to work more effectively.

I noticed a big difference in memory within a few days. In fact, I began to remember facts and figures from a previous semesters’ course work, stuff that I could’nt recall on test the prior semester (prior to taking Cerefolin).

We found cerefolin by a recommendation of a doctor who did a genetic test on my son who was 13 at the time. As it was explained to me the test reveled that my son appears to have some gene, or lack there of, that doesn’t allow the production of some enzyme needed to process folic acid for absorption like “normal people”. They stated that the folic acid coming into the body could not be broken down and processed for the brain to absorb and without the folic acid in the brain readily available it caused lack of memory, foggy brain and other things he was experiencing. They told me this was easily solved by providing him with pre processed folic acid. Cerefolin which is basically already processed for direct absorption to the brain was prescribed. The results were remarkable! My son started to notice a difference in a week and by two weeks in we were amazed. I will say that we have been on this a while now over six months and we are not sure if the benefits are slowing down or we are just used to it but he seem to struggle a bit more now and again but still no where near as bad as before with memory.

  •  Awesome Medicine
    Alice Thoby (Verified User)

it is an awesome med has help me turn a 180 in a matter of 4 days. it seems to have helped a lot of ppl and really needs to be classed as a drug so insurance will cover it; i am on disability and I’m trying to figure out how to pay for this med because it has helped me so much. Being down for over a year to the point of not even wanting to get out of a bed, and being a waste of space, to feeling human and wanting to be out in the world again and being happy within 4 days of taking the Cerefolin NAC is a real mirical.

  •   Neurologist
    Karen (Verified User)

I started Cerefolin NAC after seeing the neurologist for memory loss – it had gotten to the point that I even got lost on the way to work one morning. The next day after taking the first dose, I felt so much better. I was able to speak without word searching, and could remember things… I can still tell that I am not 100% – but the change has been incredible… so says my children and myself.

  •  Loved the product.
