You’re about to learn everything you need to know about Herbal Magic. We created a comprehensive review, examining the ingredients, side effects, customer care and scientific research. We also searched online for hundreds of dieter comments. Finally, we compressed and summarized all of the information to give you the bottom line.

What You Need To Know

First off, Herbal Magic Weight-Loss and Nutrition Centers are touted as a “complete approach” that involves eating and living well. You basically receive personal coaching, advice on how to diet smart and nutrient support. According to the company website, there are more than 40 different center locations available and a locator tool is provided to help you discover one near you. There are also more than 70 supplements to choose from. These are intended to suppress appetite, burn off fat and boost energy levels.

Herbal Magic is a Canadian weight-loss company that got started back in 2005. Helpful recipes are provided on the official website and some customer success stories are posted as well, but read on…

Steep Price – “Watch Out?”

Our first concern with Herbal Magic is the fact that the price is out of the question for some potential customers. “From what we gathered, the actual cost of the weight-loss system is about $1,000 to get started and then $300 or more each month to proceed. This covers the supplements and personal coaching. Clearly this is very pricey,” says our Research Editor.

One customer stated, “This program is so incredibly EXPENSIVE. They designed it so they can make so much money by forced selling you so much monthly pills plus so many additional ones when you come for your “counseling” visits. They also require you to pay the counseling for one year in advance. BEWARE: You cannot get a refund if you stop and they keep on fraudulently charging your credit card for the monthly pills even if you cancelled already and even if you did not get any services or products from them anymore.”

“Spent the $1000 join up fee plus the $350 per month pills for a few months until I didn’t lose much weight,” said another dieter.

Dieter Complaints – “What’s the Talk?”

You will find quite a few customer complaints posted across the web for Herbal Magic. In fact, one dieter commented, “It is a scam, I used to work for them and the mandatory supplements are just for stealing your money.”

Another customer said, “Herbal Magic is a huge rip off. I too was at a vulnerable point in my life, having recently gained another 20 lbs.”

Our research has proven that if there is a particular aspect of a diet program that is especially concerning or burdensome (too many dieter complaints, high cost, pills that lead to adverse effects) the actual likelihood of weight-loss success for the long run is slim. Therefore if the Herbal Magic system does cost too much and leaves buyers wanting for more, this could be a major issue.

The Science – “Clinical Proof?”

At DietSpotlight, we need to see published clinical studies or science that supports the weight-loss supplement or program and how it works. As for Herbal Magic, we did not locate any on the official website. Since this diet system does involve reducing calories and exercising regularly, it should help you lose more. However, you can do this without this product as well.

The Bottom Line – Does Herbal Magic Work?

So, should we run out to buy up all of the Herbal Magic? First of all, it’s nice to see that this has been around for 10 years. On the other hand, it is a very expensive weight-loss program that many dieters will not be able to afford and that gives us more than enough reason to be hesitant about giving our recommendation. You should also note that there are numerous customer complaints and some people have even stated that this company continues to charge your credit card after you leave. This is a major red flag.

Those interested in getting rid of unwanted fat more quickly, we recommend you go with a diet program or weight-loss supplement that does not cost you a fortune, comes with great customer service and is supported by clinical trial results.

Among the best products we’ve seen in 2016 is one called Leptigen. Its formula is a proven blend of four unique ingredients, which have been shown in published scientific studies to help increase fat loss and kick-start metabolism. We have not discovered any talk of side effects and dieter comments around the web reveal people are seeing excellent results.

Plus, the products of Leptigen show confidence in their product by offering a Special Trial Offer, which is a benefit.

What You Should Know

Herbal Magic is a weight loss program that is marketed toward both women and men. This company is actually a nutrition and weight reduction franchise that offers over 350 branches throughout Canada. Herbal Magic incorporates everything from dietary supplements, to one-on-one counseling and grocery store foods. There are success stories posted on the official website for the Herbal Magic program. Unfortunately, no free trial samples of the supplements are offered. The cost of an Herbal Magic membership is not mentioned on the official website.

There are over 70 supplements offered through the Herbal Magic website. Some of the weight reduction supplements are called Cellulite Treatment, and these are claimed to reduce the appearance of cellulite and stimulates collagen ($65.45), CLA, which reduces body fat ($43.95), Chromagic, which improves muscle mass, maintains blood sugar and assists with weight loss ($27.50), Formula S/E, which curbs appetite and boosts energy levels ($62.15) and Formula S/B, which suppresses appetite, helps the metabolism and reduces the absorption of sugar in the body ($50.33). These weight loss supplements do not appear to be offered with a 100% money-back/satisfaction guarantee. The official website for Herbal Magic encourages a healthy diet and a regular exercise regimen. They additionally offer a program specifically for children, and another one for diabetics.

Product Features

Herbal Magic is a weight reduction program that endeavors to suit men, women and children with shedding unwanted pounds. Unlike many other weight loss systems, Herbal Magic incorporates online assistance with dietary supplements, fitness routines and recipes that can be created from grocery store foods. This is a Canadian weight loss program with numerous centers available throughout Canada. Unfortunately the cost of the Herbal Magic program is not given on the official website. All Herbal Magic supplements appear to be readily available for purchase through the website. There doesn't appear to be real clinical proof offered on the website to support the overall effectiveness of Herbal Magic.

  • All Herbal Magic dietary supplements can be easily and conveniently purchased through the official website.
  • There are success stories posted on the official website.
  • Healthy eating and regular exercise are encouraged with the Herbal Magic program.

  • There doesn't appear to be any actual clinical research posted on the official website.
  • There are no 100% money-back/satisfaction guarantees posted on the website.
  • Some ingredients found in Herbal Magic supplements may not be suitable for some individuals.
  • Herbal Magic seems to require a rather drastic lifestyle change, which some dieters may not care for or be capable of.
  • There are no free trial samples of Herbal Magic supplements offered on the official website.
  • Herbal Magic centers appear to only be available in Canada.

The Herbal Magic weight loss system is unique in some respects. On the bright side, this dieting program encourages a healthy diet and regular exercise. However, some dieters may not care for the notion of a weight reduction program that requires so much work. All in all, the Herbal Magic system does involve dietary supplements and a "healthy style" of living, but it's probably a wise idea to check out some other programs that are currently available first. Especially since there is no membership price mentioned on the official website and Herbal Magic appears to only be available to those living in Canada.

May 27, 2016 they went bankrupt again snd have closed the remaining 40 stores in Western Canada!

Did you take extra pills that were offered or just the start up pills??

I joined last week and have sent in my cancellation letter in today, 7 days later. I find that the pills are giving me acid reflux which I did not have before, I am afraid of the pills as I don’t know what is in them, and find that their portion sizes are not reasonable especially for someone that is away from home 12 hours a day and has long commutes and work hours, and no time for meal planning, cooking, or energy for exercise at this time. One more note-I did Jenny Craig for about 2 years, spent tons of money but lost 173 pounds in total. After I left Jenny Craig I got sick and lost my gall bladder. The surgeon said it was because of the extreme weight loss and that it is a common occurrence for anyone that does these sorts of programs such as JC, HM and Bernstein. Because I stopped JC I gained some of the weight back but not all of it (I am still 95 pounds lighter) and also due to lack of exercise. However, JC program is doable for people on the go, you eat their 3 frozen meals a day which can be “upgraded” with real healthy food to make it a wholesome meal, they were tasty and you can eat extra vegetables and other things in between meals so I was never ever hungry as I have been over the past week with HM. With HM I lost a few pounds and then gained some of them back within my first week and that is not a good start at all. Legally, the Service Agreement on the back notes that there is by law a 10-day cooling off period and if you cancel the contract within those 10 days they have to refund the money within 15 days-not sure if they will refund for the pills already used, but I expect to see a full refund.

I ‘followed’ the ‘plan’ without joining…NO pills…and I only did this because my mom did and I’ve never seen her so small so I thought, I’m sure I can…and I went from size 8-10 to 0. ZERO! My teen daughter was angry for being smaller than her. No excercise, just ate the portions recommended. And I’m about to start again, 5 years later – hence me on here writing a POSITIVE comment smile Good luck, YOU CAN DO THIS!

I have sent you several messages and reviews on Herbal Magic I’m an ex employee and have inside information and you haven’t posted either of my comments and they would be most helpful to people who read your site what I wrote could not compare to any other review anybody gave it couldn’t

Anomyous- St. Thomas location

I joined last week. I thought it would be a good program for me to start. Until she mentioned the cost. $800 just to plan meals for me that’s bullshit. The pills are too big for me. The lady working had her 2 dogs with her at the center. Which is not right she should be fired. The dog was chewing on my laces, coat and pants. I went home and thought about it and it doesn’t work with my budget. So I called up and said I wanted a refund and she told me I can only get half of the $800 I paid that day fuck that. I can go to the gym for $20 a month plus watch what I eat way cheaper then $800 just to plan out what I eat plus 9 pills a day no thanks. I’m going in on Monday to cancel and she’s not changing my mind about it!!!

I used it twice last year I loss 2 pounds each week some weeks I only loss 1 lb but I got down 15 that was what I wanted it cost me 600 because I only needed to lose less but I bought the bars too 20 .00 box I liked it it went out of business here in sydney nova Scotia

I believe this program works. I did it with my mum and we both lost a lot of weight. She lost sixty pounds going from just about 200 pounds to 140 pounds, and I lost a little over twenty, going from 150 to the high twenties. We both continued to maintain our weight loss and I lost a little more weight after taking up fast walking and short runs. Yes, the price of the pills is silly, and no you don’t need the stupid bars and shakes and stuff. But the program works. I learned how to eat. I was utterly clueless before I started with HM. More importantly, I got an immense amount of support from the people who worked there. It was accountability that was lacking in my life, and I didn’t realize it was missing. I would come in for my weigh in and when the scale hadn’t moved I knew it was honesty time ‘I screwed up’. It was a really powerful feeling to suddenly know what it was like to have honesty with myself and my diet and my body, be humble and admit I made a mistake. At the end of the day, I made myself overweight(even though I didn’t have a lot of weight to lose). I ate bad things and didn’t exercise. It’s not someone’s else’s fault or out of my control because of some vague medical reason. That’s why HM works for people. That being said, I don’t think you need to buy into the program to be successful. Especially since each location is independently run and some of them are not the temples of honesty and support I was lucky enough to find. A girl fiend of mine saw my success and started asking questions. I shared the plan with her. We went to Walmart and got generic versions of what I was taking. In 2006 it was simply a multi vitamin, a mild fat burner, a B complex, and ginseng. That’s it. We talked to each other for support and celebrated all the inches and pounds that fell off her. She started out 240 pounds and is STILL 160-something pounds. At 5’10, and having had two babies since, that’s pretty awesome. Go online, hunt down the perimeters of the plan, get some vitamins and supplements and find a friend to support you. This plan works, it really is like magic. It’s just a shame they took a great idea and tarnished it with bad business. For me the money was worth it, I wasn’t hungry, and results came fast. It changed my life. Give it a shot. (To give you an idea of the speed at which I changed my body, I began the plan in early Feb and by the end of April I was frolicking around Mauii in a tiny bikini feeling like a goddess)

I used this program with great success. As a woman in her 40’s I found it to be one of the only programs that used real food. Just knowing how much of it was the key to my success. I went from 157 lbs to 124 lbs in 3 months ( size 14 to size 4). When ever my weight is up a bit (holidays) I jump back onto the program for a week and voila! Super easy, not a diet, a lifestyle improvement people

I don’t know if your product works or not but I do know it is the most pathetic commercial I have ever seen on television I turn the channel every time it comes on I can’t rate it but if I did by the commercial I would give it a minus zero

Herbal magic has terminated approximately 150 employees across Canada they are claiming that they ate bankrupt! They are making them work this week in order to get paid now you tell me! They have closed 60 centre’s just showed up Monday and terminated their employees! Terrible company!

I was also terminated after six years! They are also making us work this week to get paid! They will be changing their name as soon as possible! Hate them!

I lost 22 pounds, and I never can get less of that, I also lost $ 3000.00 DLLs. I hate the girls whom working there are little chubbies too. I really deception in their diet plan my stomach growling all the time and people behave me listen that. :'(

I find that I am hungry all the time even in my first week, so I have cancelled the program.

Karen… Which center were you at??

Herbal Magic is bankrupt and over the few weeks will be closing 85 centers across Canada. The company and their peons will be trying to spin the closings on the center staff but nothing could further from the truth. This company has been mismanaged forabout 5 years now and that same mmanagement has failed to change with the times. Their desire to “grab” from clients and their inability to be both accommodating and flexible has finally caught up with them. Do not and I emphasis not, believe for a minute that any center director was incompetent, it was managements incompetency that has to this.

Too expensive I used it from Sydney nova Scotia and it went out of business with no warning

Thanks Dawn, Chubby, the new owner, has no idea of the bridges he is burning. Everyone not terminated is on 30 days probation! He has no regard for members who signed up or the emotional distress he is putting the through. Nice move chubby.

The program works if you follow it. Products are over priced. They micro manage everything!!! They don’t care about their employees not one bit. The best part of the jib is helping clients reach their goal weight. Don’t listen to negative posts in regards to the coaches I’ve worked at HM for over 5 years and l cared about every client. But hate the company would never ever suggest anyone work there!!! Hate the job love the clients!!!

The bankruptcy papers filed show only 150 centers across canada will remain open. 85 will be closed and those employees let go. All employees should cosult an attorney who specializes in labour law to determine what your rights because the new owner couldn’t care less about you, your families or your financial commitments. No one is safe in this matter and if you believe you are, you are dillusional!

OMG, I recently signed into Herbal Magic to loose about 40 lbs, now the center closest to me might close? If it does, I will notify my bank immediately and tell them I do not authorize any payments from HM. One of the main reasons I signed up the center director, she was so straightforward and honest with me. If she looses her job it will be the last straw. What a dishonest company!

Herbal magic has of today filed for bankruptcy protection, run for the hills! Any of you that cancel do so immediately! This is not a joke! The new owner is hiding behind bankruptcy laws to take back the company!

You cannot put a price on one’s health. I am 57 and was 80 lbs over weight after suffering with severe arthritis in my hips for 4 years. After going through hip replacement surgery, I was told that if I didn’t lose weight, I would probably have to get this done again in about 10-12 years and eventually end up in a wheelchair after that because of the excessive weight. I joined HM for the support they provide and the food aids they have to help me through this process. Yes it cost me $4000 (I decided to pay all up front as an incentive for me to stay on the program) but I find this a very small investment in the rest of my life.

I started HM 7 days ago and have lost 10 lbs. it is very similar to LA Weight Loss which I did 10 years ago and lost 80lbs. But I never got to do the stabilization or maintainance part if the program because they closed their Canadian outlets. HM is Canadian and has been around for over 56 years. Many people have lost & maintained their weight. While I have no problem with the food choices I am permitted, I am getting a lot of pain in my stomach when I take the Essentials. I do suffer with acid reflux and have been on 2 medications for the better part of 25 years. Can anyone out there tell me is they have suffered with the same stomach issues after taking the essentials? While I want to continue on the program, I am concerned about this new stomach pain I am experiencing.

Hello I have started the program and started the pills for 5 days now. I have had terrible stomach pains and am going to see my doctor this coming week. Seems like a lawsuit.

I also just started having acid reflux so I am not going to continue with program. They don’t disclose what is in the pills.

I’m sixteen and I have been on HM for a week now, and have already lost 10lb (70 more till my UGW!). It’s been projected that I’ll be at my UGW by the end of December of this year. Because I’m a minor, HM only cost 530$ + supplements (Over 100$ for a month). This being said, yes, it is a lot of money. But. It’s a commitment. Since I had to spend so much money on this product, I’m extremely committed to this. I’m losing the weight fast and not cheating because I’m forced to be accountable for what I’m eating. Additionally, I needed someone I could be accountable to other than my parents/friends. I needed someone who was on the outside, and could actually tell me that it was bad for me to gain weight, and that it’s /not/ okay to be obese (the people in my life were too scared of hurting my feelings). They help provide the extra push.

There is also the issue of people saying that if you go on HM and stop, you gain everything back, plus more. This is if you leave right after the weight loss stage. There are two more stages that follow (stabilization, and maintenance). These are important stages! It’s where you learn to eat properly and learn how much you can eat to maintain the current weight. Many people who skip this stage will go back to their old eating habits and thus, gain everything back. By joining HM, you have to understand that you are likely going to need to attend a few times a week, for /at least/ a year. Weight loss is not the only step!

People also are saying a lot that you are left starving throughout the day. I, personally, am not in the least. To be honest – I feel like I’m eating all the time! The thing is, though, that I am simply eating the /right/ things. I am eating 4 servings of veggies, 3 of fruit, 3 dairy, 2 carb, and 2 protein. (From memory..) Thus, I’m not overeating on the things that will make me pack on the weight. I’ve had a salad this week that I couldn’t even fit into a whole bowl! I’m a fast eater – and it took me just about a half hour to finish it.
You can ask your supporter at HM to help you space out your meals if you’re a ‘snacker’ so that when you’re hungry, you can eat.

When signing up to HM it’s important to ask the right questions. I came in with a list of questions, and made sure they were being upfront about the prices (which they were). I was fully aware before I signed the agreements.

I apologize for how long this was – but I want to help people be informed! There aren’t many sites that are really giving detailed information about HM. They’re simply pointing out why people shouldn’t do it – instead of the reasons that they should!

Mr.CEO. You are in desperate need of a sales manager and let me emphasis SALES. Your organization is going downhill like a snowball going downhill, nothing to stop it! There is a very simple reason for that, one that I am more than willing to share but only if you contact me thru this site. It’s up to you!

I believe you are what you eat. I had poor eating habits combined with no exercise and guess what I gain a lot of weight. I tried the work out thing I tried the weight loss pills. Herbal Magic teaches you a new way to eat, yes it is expensive. But I am worth it, I have been a member for 2.5 weeks and have nearly lost 10 lbs. The girls at the office that I attend are nothing buy upbeat, they are motivational and I don’t mind going there twice a week, three time is the optimal but it doesn’t work well for me. See ya all after I lose my extra 40 lbs!

The cost of Herbal Magic is over $4000.

Maybe over time.. But its 1000 start-up, then about 100 a week after that.

They have terminated about 120 employees! This week! Trying to keep it a secret!
