Ideal Shake Review - 13 Things You Need to Know

IdealShake is a meal replacement powder meant to be used on the IdealShape diet plan. The product utilizes an “all-natural hunger blocker” formula, with the main ingredient being Slendesta. While the ingredient list does not seem ordinary, the product is expensive and has not been used in clinical trials. Whey protein has been repeatedly shown to promote fat loss and improved body composition in clinical studies, but the “hunger-busting” ingredient Slendesta is not well-researched.

So, we investigated the IdealShake formula to determine if the product is unique or just another whey-based meal replacement. Read on for the full scoop.

Ideal Shake can be purchased through their Official Site.

What is Ideal Shake?

IdealShake protein shake is a nutrient-rich protein shake, one that’s designed to enable you to lose weight while ensuring that your body gets the required intake of essential vitamins and proteins.

The IdealShake protein shake was conceived, designed, and marketed by the HUTT group; it has come up with a proprietary blend of whey protein, essential vitamins, minerals, and proteins, as well as craving suppressants (hunger blocking) Slendesta.

IdealShake is a pivotal part of the ideal meal replacement plan, one that enables you to shed unwanted calories. A big part of their claimed benefits are the ingredients in their shake, and this is what some of the research has to say about them:

Company Bio

How Did IdealShake Start?

The IdealShake protein enriched food supplement started the same way as most food supplements do; to tap a growing health-conscious consumer market and carve a niche for itself.

The only thing that remains to be seen is if the IdealShake protein-enriched drink is as good as it gets when it comes to reducing calories.

While the makers of the IdealShake make claim that the drink, which contains the proprietary trademark registered Slendesta, is supposed to block hunger cravings, it remains to be seen if IdealShake protein shake is indeed effective in both the short term and long term.

The shake itself claims to prevent hunger deprivation while enabling you to feel satisfied at the same time.

IdealShake Claims

The IdealShake protein shake nutrition enriched meal plan comes loaded with the hunger suppressant Slendesta, a potato protein extract.

They claim that their product, which is only about 100 calories, is designed to block any hunger cravings that you may have for about three hours, limiting your calorie intake effectively.

Apart from this, the IdealShake company provides you with a 30-day, 60-day meal plans, while they supplement their shakes with IdealBars, as well as perfectly balanced meals.

While there are similar other food supplements and hunger suppressing ones doing the rounds, the IdealShake protein shake nutrition enriched meal plan is one of the few to use active hunger suppressants as one of its key ingredients.

IdealShake Benefits

If you are looking to shed those unwanted calories, then the IdealShake diet plan seems to be the real deal from the outset.

For starters, it prevents you from binging out as they are thick with whey protein and the enriched shakes come loaded with the hunger blocking Slendesta.

Apart from this, the IdealShake diet plan offers you a balanced diet of proteins, nutrients, fiber, minerals, vitamins so that your health does not get impacted as a result of going on a diet.

It provides you with an already meal alternative, one that’s designed to help you shed those calories while on the go.

In short, with the IdealShake diet plan, you would not have to cook anything.

You can also opt for the flavored variant. The IdealShake comes in chocolate, vanilla as well as other flavors.

You can choose to add water to the mix/powder, drink the shake as it is or go in for a unique blend of fruits for an IdealShake smoothie.

Details on IdealShake and Weight Loss

IdealShake helps you to cut back on calorie-rich foods and opt for alternatives such as the shake itself; it pegs out at 110 calories per serving, with only 2g of sugar contained in the same.

The whey protein-enriched shake fills you up so that you do not binge out, and with Slendesta kicking in, you should be able to control any hunger pangs for about three hours.

The concentrate of whey protein provides your body with the essential fiber that it needs. Women need about 25 g of dietary fiber each day and men, about 38 g.

Does It Work?

Does IdealShake Work?

The product claims to work by limiting your calorie intake while providing your body with the essential proteins and nutrients that it requires, and helping build your lean muscle in the process, thanks to the whey component.

You can opt to replace two or more meals per day with one IdealShake.

The various IdealShake reviews are a must-read as a few of them do provide recipes for the perfect smoothie, using IdealShake, and a variety of fruits.

How to Use IdealShake

When it comes to consuming any IdealShake alternatives, you can go for a simple version and add water to the mix.

But the best option on the table is the IdealShake meal replacement plan, one that’s been conceived and designed by the IdealShake company itself.

It seeks to supplement your daily dose of IdealShakes with nuts, fruits, energy bars, and a d asaily regimen of fitness exercises.

Whether you opt for the flavored variant such as the Idealshape protein chocolate shake or a blended variant such as a banana smoothie with IdealShake as the base, the result is supposed to help you shed the fat in quick time.

That’s the neat part about any IdealShake protein alternatives as it restricts your calorie intake to the bare minimum while ensuring that your body gets the required proteins and vitamins it needs to function smoothly.

Side Effects

Potential IdealShake Side Effects

The IdealShake diet plan sure sounds like the real deal, but as with any food supplement, it does come with its baggage.

IdealShake is mainly composed of whey protein, which in large dosages is known to induce bloating, nausea, listlessness, fatigue, headache, increased bowel movement, among others.

Better yet, check in with a qualified dietician to determine if the IdealShake diet plan is the perfect plan for you.

IdealShake Alternatives

Here are a few ideal protein shake alternatives; and while there are many ideal protein shake alternatives flooding the market, these happen to be some of the top-ranked ones, right after IdealShake.

  • Vegan One
  • Slim-Fast
  • Herbalife shakes
  • Isagenix shakes
  • GNC Lean shakes

According to the IdealShake company, they claim that nearly all of IdealProtein shake alternatives use plant fiber as a way to compensate for the hunger cravings and, as a result, are not that effective in combating the same, unlike IdealShake, which uses hunger blocking a protein, Splendesta which triggers the release of CCK or the ‘fullness’ hormone.

What Users Are Saying

What Users Are Saying

“Ideal makes some great flavors, and this chocolate one is fantastic. I highly suggest this meal replacement product.”

“I had high hopes but it just didn’t work for me. – I have been using Ample for a year and really love the flavor and consistency but wanted something with fewer calories and with less intestinal discomfort so I thought I would try Idealshake since it is not plant based and has Slendesta which sounds like a really great concept. I use these shakes at work and mix with water. I don’t have the luxury of stocking almond milk and bananas and a blender in my office. Maybe that is how this really works for people. I was hoping their formula would help me fight hunger for a few hours until dinner. The flavor is just OK, kinda like a burnt chocolate but really sweet. I could get used to it but the problem I had was the first day I used one scoop and was hungry about an hour and a half later. The second day I tried two scoops and was hungry 2 hours later and the third day 3 scoops and was hungry 2.5 hours later. It seems the claim that the Slendesta does not work for me and when I mixed three scoops the shake started to get too thick. Again, I’m just adding water and using it as a meal replacement without snacks on the side but in my opinion it did not work for me.”

“The taste of this is good, tastes good with water alone or use of almond milk. It blends pretty good in a bottle, with some sticking at times. Overall, it somewhat keeps my hunger at bay for a hour or so, but wish it filled me up more.”

Bottom Line

The Bottom Line on Ideal Shake

So, what’s our final take on Ideal Shake meal replacement? We like using a few natural ingredients and the low price, but we’re concerned about the lack of research connecting it to weight-loss. Another issue are customer reviews talking about poor taste and no appetite control.

  • Donna

I drink the chocolate and I love the taste! I’m usually very hard to please when it comes to protein drinks so that says alot for ideal shakes. I mix it with water and crushed ice and the filter keeps the ice in the cup so what I get is like a slushy! I love these shakes!

  • Diane

I just started the vanilla flavor. Why is it gritty and people claim it has lead in it? My container didn’t come with a warning label. I’m very concerned. I would like to return for maybe your meal protein bars.

    • Adrian (Editor)

Hi Diane! For more information on returns and warnings, please refer to the Ideal Shake official website and contact their customer service department.

      • Fawndia

hi, i just got the sample kit and the shake bottle has lines on it that say ‘fill to here” for 8oz of the shake, which is like a few sips, is that right? or do we fill the remainder with water to make it fill the cup up like advertised?

    • NannyGranny

I just started three days ago and I’m eating one “real” meal (lunch) each day. I mix the vanilla with crushed ice and water and a scoop of Super Greens by Country Farms (I get it at Walmart) and I am full for 4 – 5 hours. As a babysitting grandma on the go I don’t have time for real meals so this is the perfect solution for me to get my optimal nutrition every day. Bye bye, fast food drive-through!

And re: the “lead” warnings…that’s on just about EVERYTHING now days. Read up on California Prop 65

  • Ann

User error provides bad results as with any meal. If you didn’t make it right, then obviously it’s not going to taste good. I drink 2 a day and I’ve lost almost 30 pounds in the last 3 months. It works. It’s a lifestyle change, not a gourmet frufru plated $90 handful of food. It tastes better than any meal replacement shake I’ve ever tried and I can barely drink a whole one and I’m full for 6 hours after just 1 shake alone.
