Overview

What is Keto Bloom?

Keto Bloom is a forskolin-based diet supplement that promises to force your body into a state of ketosis.

Usually, your body enters a state of ketosis when there is no glucose, or sugar, in your blood to burn for energy. This happens when you fast for long periods or eat an extremely low-carbohydrate diet. According to a journal article published in The Indian Journal of Medical Research, consuming less than 50 grams of carbs a day, for several days, is necessary to enter a state of ketosis.

When in ketosis, your body burns fat for energy instead of glucose.

Ketosis might sound like an easy way to lose weight, but following a restrictive ketogenic diet is difficult. That’s why there are supplements, similar to Keto Bloom, that promise to help you burn fat for energy without having to follow an extremely low-carbohydrate diet.

Who Makes Keto Bloom?

To be honest, we’re not even sure that Keto Bloom exists. Our researchers were unable to find any information about the company behind this product, even though the product is listed for sale on Amazon.

The only information that is available about Keto Bloom is on affiliate websites. The official website states that they are no longer accepting orders for any products. When we clicked on the links to purchase Keto Bloom from an affiliate site, we were taken to an order form for Keto TOP.

We’ve come across Keto Advanced Weight Loss before. They appear to be a shell company that markets a variety of ketogenic supplements. Every supplement has the same formula but different names. The Better Business Bureau discovered that the address listed by this company is a residential address. The owners of the property have nothing to do with diet supplements. The BBB has informed the FBI and the Washington State Attorney General.

Claims

Most Common Keto Bloom Claims

Keto Bloom claims to increase your blood ketone levels. This kickstarts the metabolic process known as ketosis. When your body is in a ketogenic state, it burns fat for energy.

The company behind the supplement also claims to be a Shark Tank diet pill. Supplement companies often claim they were endorsed by the Shark Tank judges to make themselves look legitimate. According to an ABC affiliate, the product was never featured on Shark Tank or endorsed by any Shark Tank judge.

Ingredients

Keto Bloom Ingredients

The only active ingredient listed on affiliate sites is:

  • Forskolin
  • May contain BHB

Forskolin

According to a review published in Planta Medica, Coleus forskohlii is a plant derivative used in Ayurvedic medicine.

Forskolin gained popularity as a weight-loss supplement after being praised by controversial television personality, Dr. Oz. A journal article published in Missouri Medicine states that Dr. Oz was questioned by a Senate subcommittee for promoting supplements with no evidence that they are safe or effective.

Was forskolin one of the supplements in question? It’s unlikely. There is some evidence, including this study published in Obesity Research, that forskolin may have a small but positive effect on body composition.

BHB

Nearly every keto supplement on the market contains BHB. We’re going to assume that Keto Bloom contains at least some BHB.

BHB, or beta-hydroxybutyrate, is one of the three ketone bodies produced by the human body during ketosis. A study published in the Journal of Nutrition and Metabolism (London) suggests that supplementing with exogenous BHB can raise blood ketone levels.

Another study, published in Obesity (Silver Spring) found that supplementing with exogenous ketones can decrease appetite in healthy individuals.

Does Keto Bloom Work?

We can’t say whether or not Keto Bloom works. We don’t have a complete ingredient list or dosing information. What works for one person won’t always work for another.

Weight Loss

Keto Bloom and Weight Loss

There is some evidence that forskolin, the main ingredient in Keto Bloom, promotes weight loss.

A study published in the Journal of Ayurvedic Medicine found that regular doses of forskolin can reduce the BMI of geriatric patients.

According to a study published in Obesity Research, forskolin consumption can cause a significant reduction in weight in obese males. The same study found that forskolin can increase free testosterone levels as well.

Another study, published in Clinical Therapeutics, suggests that applying forskolin topically can have a small effect on body composition.

Products that contain forskolin may have a positive effect on obese individuals, but more research is needed to confirm these findings.

Keto Bloom Benefits and Results

This is the part of our investigation where we look at Keto Bloom reviews. Unfortunately, there aren’t any. Our research team couldn’t find a single person who has actually tried Keto Bloom. Does this mean that Keto Bloom is a scam? Not necessarily, but it was definitely a huge warning sign for our researchers.

Keto Bloom is not available from Amazon, GNC, eBay or Walmart. We did, however, find a Keto Bloom Facebook page. Several Facebook users took to the comments to warn others not to purchase this product. They called Keto Bloom a scam and said that this company will steal your credit card information. The comments were more than 23 weeks old, so we hope that the problem was resolved by now.

How to Use Keto Bloom

We have no dosing information, but the proper forskolin dose is 250 mg twice a day.

What Users Are Saying

“Very good product and it does work.”

“Didn’t work for me but everybody is different.”

“Combined with regular exercise, I probably will lose more weight faster. Although the product didn’t show a significant amount of weight loss it did, within a month, help me lose at least four pounds which assisted in lowering my cholesterol level to normal as reported by my primary physician.”

Bottom Line

Bottom Line on Keto Bloom

Our research team is wary of any product that doesn’t provide consumers with nutrition facts for its products. The FDA does not regulate dietary supplements the same way that they regulate medications. Instead, supplements are treated as food. Not providing a full ingredient list isn’t just a bad business practice; it’s dangerous.
