Keto Hack claims to make losing weight easier, but does it work? Losing weight is not easy. Fortunately, there are plenty of supplements on the market that aim to simplify the weight-loss process. Keto Hack is one of those supplements. The supplement promises to kickstart ketosis regardless of your diet. Is it possible to reap the benefits of a ketogenic diet without actually following a low-carb diet? Our research team wasn’t so sure.
We looked at the science surrounding ketogenic weight reduction and compared Keto Hack’s ingredients to those of its competitors. Can Keto Hack increase metabolism? Does it also increase libido? We’re about to give you the bottom line.
What is Keto Hack?
Keto Hack is an exogenous ketone supplement. A meta-analysis published in the British Journal of Nutrition suggests that a very-low-carbohydrate ketogenic diet (VLCKD) can promote long-term weight loss. The downfall of a VLCKD is that it is difficult to follow. Following a VLCKD can result in nutrient deficiencies and potentially serious health conditions. Proponents of exogenous ketone supplements believe you can lose weight through ketosis without following a restrictive diet.

Who Makes Keto Hack?
Our research team had a hard time tracking down any information about the company behind the Keto Hack supplement. The website claiming to be for the official supplement website is an affiliate site for another supplement called Fast Keto Burn. Both supplements have similar packing and ingredients. They both also claim to be “Shark Tank pills.”
In June 2018, the Better Business Bureau warned consumers to be wary of ketogenic diet supplements claiming to be “Shark Tank pills.” Several supplement manufactures claim to have appeared on ABC’s Shark Tank. There is no record of Keto Hack or Fast Keto Burn appearing on Shark Tank or being endorsed by any judges.

Most Common Keto Hack Claims
Here are a few of the claims surrounding this product:
- Increase metabolism
- Increase libido
- Effortlessly lose weight
- Maintain muscle mass
- Remove “damaging toxins”
- Stop food cravings in their tracks
- No side effects
- “Avoid cardiovascular disease”
- Instantly turn fat to energy
Those are some impressive claims, but our researchers wanted to know if there was any actual evidence to back them up. We looked to the ingredients for answers.
Keto Hack Ingredients
The makers of Keto Hack do not disclose the amount of the ingredients used in their ketogenic weight reduction supplement. This was a huge red flag for our research team. The FDA warns that consumers should never take a supplement unless they are aware of what it contains. Some ingredients may interact with medications or exacerbate existing health conditions.
The ingredients are:
- BHB salts
- Green Coffee Extract
- Green Tea Extract
BHB is an abbreviation for beta-hydroxybutyrate, a ketone salt used in dietary supplements. A Regulatory Toxicology and Pharmacology study suggests that BHB salts increase ketones in the blood to mimic a natural state of ketosis.
Calcium is essential to live organisms. According to Dietary Reference Intakes for Calcium and Vitamin D, the primary use for calcium is in bone growth and development.
Honey has some potential health benefits, but one tablespoon of honey contains 17 grams of carbohydrates and zero grams of fat and protein. A ketogenic diet focuses on low carbohydrates, high fat and moderate protein.
Green Coffee Extract
Research in the Journal of Medicinal Foods found that green coffee extract is a natural source of caffeine that is high in Chlorogenic Acid. Chlorogenic Acid may prevent the absorption of carbohydrates.
Green Tea Extract
Green tea extract is another natural source of caffeine, and it contains catechins. According to Critical Reviews in Food Science and Nutrition, catechins can increase your metabolism and block the absorption of carbohydrates.
Does Keto Hack Work?
The safety and efficacy of exogenous ketones have not been thoroughly examined. The studies that do exist have mixed results. A 2017 study published in the Journal of Obesity (Silver Spring) found that taking exogenous ketones can reduce hunger by as much as 50%; however, another study, published in the Journal of Biological Chemistry, suggests that taking exogenous ketones can actually prevent the body from burning fat for energy.
Keto Hack and Weight Loss
Keto Hack could potentially promote weight loss, but there isn’t enough information available for our researchers to reach a definitive decision.

This might be a new product, but we were concerned with the lack of information available.

“Helpful but expensive – I test my blood ketones while doing keto. My body is very resistant to ketosis even with net carbs under 20/day and intermittent fasting 16/8. I was able to raise my ketones slightly with this product and reach ketosis faster. It directs you to take 6 pills per day though (2 before every meal) so my only issue is that this product may get expensive fast. If it were more affordable, I would purchase it regularly.”
“Easy to swallow – Using for a dietary supplement for following a keto diet.”
Bottom Line on Keto Hack
We wish we could provide you with more information about Keto Hack, but that information isn’t available. We were disappointed with the high cost, but we do like that they use some ingredients that are backed by science.
