I paused before I hit the “publish” button on this one, because my conclusion was a bit of a shocker. Advocare is one of the biggest names in the market and we’ve been hearing about their MNS Max 3 supplement lately. We decided to dig deep, taking into account side effects, ingredients, customer service and clinical research. We finished off by reading through user experiences. Then, we summarized and refined to give you the bottom line.

What You Need to Know About MNS Max 3

To start, MNS Max 3 is a group of supplements that comes in a 14-day supply. Each day you will consume a strip of small packets full of pills. Each pouch is different. The list includes ActoTherm SR, BioTherm, CorePlex, OmegaPlex, Probiotic Restore Ultra, Calcium Plus and Amplify A.T. [1]  Novacare claims a wide variety of benefits, including extra energy, fat burning, improved skin health, bone strength, brain health and more. [2] You can find MNS Max 3 on the website for $45.95. The delivery system makes it easy to take this one with you.

Advocare began back in 1993 and resides in Plano, TX. They utilize a direct sales structure and “distributors” and “advisors” receive special discounts. We like the longevity of the company and the user-friendly website with lots of product info is great, but read on…

Price – “Wow?”

The first issue we came across with MNS Max 3 ingredients was the outrageous price.“If you consumed all of those vitamins on a daily basis, you may see some health benefits as a result,” said our Research Editor. “But $45.95 for 14 days seems a bit out there to me. Surely you could put your own comparable vitamin routine together for a fraction of that cost.” Using MNS Max 3 for a month means spending more than $90.

“Basically these were just expensive vitamins,” said one user.

“Not worth the money,” said another.

Side Effects With MNS Max 3 – “A Consideration”

Upon reading a number of reviews, we came across a significant amount of MNS Max 3 side effects. “ I had some serious heart palpitations, shortness of breath, and extreme jitters,” said one customer online. “I know several people who take this and are fine, but it didn’t react well with me at all!”

“This product gave me heartburn and killed my stomach,” claimed another.

“I had severe anxiety and depression while on this. Nothing was going on in my life at the time, so I know it was the product,” according to another experience.

We’ve noticed over time that even a minor issue with a supplement can hinder the chances of long-term success. If Max 3 does, in fact, cause heart or energy-related side effects, you should consider whether or not the hefty price tag is worth the risk. At the very least, be sure to check with a doctor about the health of your heart and if you are especially sensitive to caffeine, stay away.

The Science – “Proven Effective?”

While some of the individual ingredients have been shown to provide a moderate boost in metabolism, MNS Max 3’s specific combinations have not been clinically studied. The product has not been evaluated by the FDA and we have no way of knowing whether or not the version of this formula is any better than other, much cheaper alternatives. Novacare does not recommend this supplement as a stand-alone weight-loss solution. Rather, it intends it to be used alongside others. That takes another bite out of your wallet.

The Bottom Line – Does MNS Max 3 Work?

Well now, what’s the final word on this one ladies and gentlemen? We thought MNS Max 3 looked like a worthwhile product at first. It comes from a long-standing company and it uses some promising ingredients. When all is said and done though, the claims simply aren’t backed up by published research and the price tag is too high. We can’t recommend such an expensive formula when you can find less expensive alternatives.

If you are seriously in the market for a supplement that will help you lose weight, we recommend getting more bang for your buck with a product that is backed up by research and won’t cause harmful side effects.

Among the best products we’ve seen this year is one called Leptigen. It uses a proprietary blend of four ingredients that help boost metabolism and burn fat, based on published clinical research. Side effects don’t seem to be an issue and the reviews we’ve read have been overwhelmingly positive.

The makers of Leptigen are offering a Special Trial Offer for the time being, always a good sign for the buyer.

MNS Max 3: What You Should Know

The MNS Max 3 system, by Advocare, is a comprehensive weight loss supplement that claims it promotes nutritional wellness, energy boosts, digestive system support, skin tone maintenance, and eyesight sharpening. It attempts to reach these feats by combining an array of vitamins, minerals, herbal extracts, antioxidants and other nutrients in each 4-packet strip. The product is sold for $43 for a 14-day supply. Each serving comes in a capsule form and contains as much caffeine as there is in a cup of coffee.

Ingredients in MNS Max 3

Vitamins A, C, D, E, B6, B12, folic acid, niacin, riboflavin, omega-3 fatty acids, astaxanthin, calcium, citurs flavonoids, green tea extract, lutein, lycopene, guarana, biotin, oolong tea, taurine, lactobacillus acidophilus, bifdobacterium, bifidum, artichoke, magnesium, zinc, chromium.

Product Features

Every nutrient in MNS Max 3 is grouped together based on their benefits. Each group is given a fancy name like ActoTherm, BioTherm, CorePlex, OmegaPlex, ProBiotic Restore, Calcium Plus, and Amplify A.T. The ActoTherm elements of this supplement are botanicals ranging from cinnamon, ginger and peppermint. These elements are time released through the day and give the body energy.

The BioTherm grouping uses oolong tea, B vitamin, and biotin to convert fat to energy. Coreplex represents 36 of the nutrients in the MNS formula that support a healthy bone structure as well as muscle tissue and skin growth.

OmegaPlex includes the Omega 3-Fatty Acid supplements in this product. These supposedly support cardiovascular strength, strength skin and keep joints healthy.

ProBiotic Restore involves probiotics or intestinal microflora that can aid in digestion. The Calcium included in MNS is meant to support bone growth. Amplify A.T. claims to fight the aging process by strengthening the immune system.

Advantages of MNS Max 3

  • Website offers a beneficial brochure.
  • Multivitamins produce many health benefits over longer periods of time.
  • This product is very safe.

Disadvantages of MNS Max 3

  • This product would only be beneficial to losing weight if combined with other products.
  • Website does not provide testimonials or any clinical studies backing their claims.

The nutritional information in MNS Max 3's brochure is not evaluated by the FDA. This product does not perform thermogenesis (fat burning) and does not suppress the appetite. It is recommended to be taken along with other weight loss supplements. However, it is not commonly recommended to stack too many supplements in your body because of the risk of overdosing on certain elements. Also this product is a lot more expensive than normal multivitamins that can produce similar results.

MNS Max 3 Ingredients and Supplement Facts

Amount per Serving % DV

Other Ingredients: None

We dug deep into the MNS Max 3 ingredients to give you the details you need.

Citrus Flavonoids

To begin, citrus flavonoids are basically polyphenolic compounds that are derived from citrus fruits, such as oranges, lemons and limes. They provide antioxidants, and are often found in dietary supplements.

What is it Supposed to Do?

Often citrus flavonoids are claimed to boost immune system health and aid with weight management. They may also help combat cardiovascular health problems.

Clinical Research

Some research presented by the National Institutes of Health has shown that, “In animal models, citrus flavonoid supplements prevent hepatic steatosis, dyslipidemia and insulin sensitivity primarily through inhibition of hepatic fatty acid synthesis and increased fatty acid oxidation.” Therefore this ingredient could help in the treatment of obesity, but human studies are needed.

Clinical studies are crucial when it comes to choosing an effective diet supplement. Therefore you may want to check into a product like Leptigen. It contains ingredients that are clinically tested.

Green Tea Extract

This is made from the camellia sinensis plant. It’s actually an unfermented form of tea. Also, it’s commonly consumed in regions like China, Japan and even the US.

What is it Supposed to Do?

Green tea provides EGCG or epigallocatechin gallate, as well as some caffeine. Put simply, this ingredient has been shown to help elevate thermogenesis or calorie burning. It’s used in all sorts of diet products available online and in stores.

Clinical Research

Some studies have shown that green tea extract is beneficial for weight-loss. The National Institutes of Health states, “There are also human studies on using green tea catechins to treat metabolic syndrome, such as obesity, type II diabetes, and cardiovascular risk factors. Long-term consumption of tea catechins could be beneficial against high-fat diet-induced obesity and type II diabetes and could reduce the risk of coronary disease.”

Also called choline bitartrate, this substance is found in foods like spinach, liver, nuts, eggs and beans. It’s similar to B vitamins. It’s sometimes used to treat liver disease and asthma.

What is it Supposed to Do?

Choline is often found in supplements. It’s supposed to help burn off fat and encourage the body to use trapped fats as energy. However, we could not find any solid science to support this.

Clinical Research

While no clinical studies were found that directly link choline to weight-loss, other research revealed that, “Choline improves memory of rats when they are given choline at early stages in their lives.” Therefore this substance does show some promise when it comes to overall health.

Is There Anything Out There That We Think TRULY Works?

Leptigen is one supplement that shows promise. It contains ingredients that HAVE been clinically tested. Furthermore, customers can take advantage of a Special Trial Offer, that’s currently available. Click here to give it a shot.

Mns3 gave me serious jitters and heart racing is this to be expected and does it go away as your body gets used to it ?

Hello Tommy. All users are different and can experience different side effects; please make sure to consult with your physician before taking this product.

I’m starting MNS 3 tomorrow and scared I’ll be sick at work and I can’t afford to be sick at work. Any suggestions

I’ve been using MNS3 pack, spark, catalyst, and muscle gain from AdvoCare. I love the product, it gives me the perfect energy, no gitters, and I’m not constantly hungry like I used to be. I’m a fad person, and I try everything. I stick with AdvoCare because it works.

I have been using Advocare products since 2013 and have used the MNS 3 with no issues and my best friends also use the products with no issues. Everyone’s system and tolerance is different, I have lost over 60 lbs on advocare… yeahhh!!!

new to this...

There is a place on the advocare website that talks about what is in each pill in each pack. I have trouble with multivitamins because to the iron. I take the multivitamin pack with lunch instead of breakfast. Pretty much everything including water cause my stomach upset in the morning. That is why, historically, I have not eaten breakfast. You know, I agree that it would be best to get a lot of the nutrients that are found in MNS from food. However, roots no longer grow as deep and soil is not as rich. Also, to get some of these quantities one would be eating produce all day long. I am too busy to be eating all the time lol.

I did the program and loss 30 pounds in 24 days. I get the pills the way that I was instructed along with a lot of water cutting out and eating a lot of baked chicken and fish along with vegetables with no added sugar. Totally happy with the program. The program is a little pricey however when reviewing other programs you are going to have to pay for desired result. Even if you go to a gym you still going to have to pay. I lost the weight and I’ve managed to keep it off for year without the exercise.

Im on my 3rd day, although Im tired of popping these pretty big pills I am in the Max Phase and these pills have
no bad effects on me and Ive got sleep apnea but Im sleeping better and IBS but no problems with that whatsoever, I think
some people aren’t following directions correctly that’s why they have issues. And a lot of water HAS to be drank also, not just
a couple sips to get the supplements down! Im drinking 8 bottles a day!

… The product rips up my stomach. It gives me reflux, abdominal cramps & horrible gas. I spoke with my coach. Made sure I was drinking entry of water. & started taking them just before I ate, instead of 30 min before. Same problem. I stopped & got better. Started, & symptoms came back. I even tried cutting back on the pills, but still had problems. My husband started the max phase & is having the same issues.

After a week on pill developed skin problem skin feels dry

My first time to take MNS 3….. I got very light headed….nausiated….. And couldn’t sleep at all that night! I am a Flight Attendant and had to fly across the country. I felt horrible!

I have been using max3 for 2 years now. They have helped drop from obese 32% body fat to a normal weight and stay that way healthily and without “dieting”. However sometimes I have the nausea problem because of the pre lunch pack. I deal with it by reducing the time to 10 to 15min before lunch and having an apple ready in case the nausea hits before I can sit down and eat. Not having to diet, and having superior nutrition at the same time far outweighs the inconvenience of the nausea for me.

I started this product on Monday and at the end off each day my stomach has been trashed. I do not know if what I am eating is causing this problem or if I need to add something else to my diet. Today would have been day 5 but I have not taken any my system is to messed up.

Barbara, you may not be taking the products at the right time for you or with the right foods. If you still haven’t finished your products please email me and I can help you get back on track.

Your Name

Hi… I hope you see this. I did advocare a few years ago and was thrilled with the results. I started the mns pack about 10 days ago and 7 days in started bloating and mild stomach issues. I’m still regular with elimination but the bloating is weird. Any thoughts? Think it’s product related?

I’ve been taking the MNS 3 supplements for the past 4 months and have lost 33 pounds. The benefit of the vitamins was found in curbing my appetite and maintaining my energy while I changed my diet. Other diets made me hungry making it difficult to stay faithful to the diet. These products maintained my energy helping wean myself off pop and other junk food. I now reach for fruit instead of junk food. My diet and therefore my life has changed dramatically since taking. MNS 3.

Vegan athlete

A plant-based diet has all the same vitamins and then if you just add working out in to the mix you’ll be set with all the same weight loss, tons of fiber(better bowl movements),more energy and strength…without all the side effects Tell us your thoughts about MNS Max 3.

I just want to say I’ve been taking the MNSMAX 3 and it works it suppresses my appetite and it makes me extremely thirsty which I’m glad because it’s helpin get my water intake. This is only my second week taking it. However, like anything else this is just a tool. I’m eating healthy and working out with a personal trainer. smile

This product does wonders. It provides energy, crave control and daily vitamins and minerals. I’ve lost 25lbs since being on MNS and have kept the weight off.

I just started my first day of MNSMAX 2 Energy and I have horribly crampy?? Any thoughts
