Pure Slim Review - Do These Diet Products Actually Work?
My love of diet products is bested only by my passion for reviewing them. We took the time to investigate Pure Slim and create a detailed review, examining the side effects, ingredients, customer service and scientific research. Furthermore, we scrutinized all sorts of dieter comments and user reviews that are posted online. At this point we summed up all of the facts and feedback to give you the bottom line.
What You Need To Know
Pure Slim is a company that specializes in weight loss supplements. The products they offer include Pure Cleanse, Cyclotrim, Pure Hoodia and Pure Slim Diet Patch. The key ingredients used in these products include the following; Hoodia Gordonii, Green Tea, Guarana, Chromium, Taurine, Bladderwrack, Yerba Mate, Flaxseed Oil, L-Carnitine and B Vitamins. Unfortunately there does not appear to be an official website for Pure Slim any longer.
Pure Slim was founded back in 1997 and these weight loss products are available without a prescription. Some natural ingredients are used in Pure Slim supplements and there are some positive comments posted online about these products, but read on…
Fad Supplement Ingredients – Something to Consider?
“The primary ingredients used in Pure Slim are Bladderwrack, Yerba Mate and Guarana, which are considered fad diet ingredients. After all, these plant extracts are not backed by solid science when it comes to weight loss,” says our Research Editor.
According to one customer, “Did nothing as far as weight loss is concerned. Needless to say, I would not buy this a second time.”
“Not sure what I’m supposed to experience with this, but I have not lost any weight,”commented another user.
Suspicious Credit Card Charges – Another Concern
There are several customer complaints posted on the web regarding suspicious credit card charges, which is a big red flag. One customer stated, “$112 was taken from my account without my permission. I have cancelled my card because I have tried to cancel the order, but the e-mail address says invalid.
“This is bull shit for anyone trying the product. They steal your card info, charge you and then play dumb about having any of your info. It’s a joke and a scam, DO NOT buy it,” says another person.
The intensive research we’ve conducted has proven that if there is some facet of a diet product or weight loss program that is especially problematic (fad supplement ingredients, suspicious credit card charges, poor BBB rating) the chances of long-term success are not very good. In other words, if numerous Pure Slim customers do experience suspicious credit card charges after buying this product, this could be a major problem.
Backed by Real Science?
We could not find any real science to support the weight loss claims regarding Pure Slim supplements. In fact, we could not even locate the official website at this point. This could mean the company has closed. At DietSpotlight, we like to see documented clinical research that supports the weight loss product we are.
The Bottom Line: Does Pure Slim Work?
So, should you run out and buy Pure Slim? Well, we appreciate that Pure Slim supplements use natural ingredients and there are some positive customer comments posted on the web. Then again, we have some reservations about these supplements because they are not backed by actual clinical research. Also, we’re concerned about the fad supplement ingredients these products contain. Furthermore, the customer complaints about suspicious credit card charges should not be overlooked.
If you’d like to shed more pounds, then we recommend you choose a product that comes with excellent customer service, contains clinically proven ingredients and is supported by positive customer feedback.
Among the best products we’ve seen this year is one called Dietspotlight Burn. This supplement contains a unique blend of four potent ingredients, which have been shown in published scientific studies to help speed up fat loss and ignite metabolism. We can’t pinpoint any discussion of harmful side effects and customer feedback on the internet shows people are seeing solid results.
The makers of Dietspotlight Burn are so excited about their product they’re offering a Special Trial Offer, which is very reassuring.
Previous Pure Slim Review (Updated January 1, 1970):
What You Should KnowPure Slim is a diet products company that was founded in 1997 and that currently has offices in the US, Africa, Spain, and the UK. Pure Slim claims to "not cut corners" when dealing with customers or the quality of its products, so they have a fairly small but specialized list of products. The products available from Pure Slim are the Pure Slim patch, Cyclotrim, Pure Hoodia and Pure Cleanse. For this review we will focus on the Pure Slim patch, Pure Hoodia and Cyclotrim which are the signature diet products offered by this company. 2/15/13 Editor's Note: This is a review of Pure Slim products, NOT to be confused with the Pure Slim 1000 diet. Here is a review of Pure Slim 1000. Each one of these products is completely different and will appeal to different groups of dieters. The Pure Hoodia comes in capsule form and is meant to suppress the appetite, while the Pure Slim patch does what the Hoodia capsule does except it is worn on the body similar to nicotine patches, Cyclotrim is a powder you dump into a bottle of water and is full of vitamins and some stimulants. We'd assume someone serious about losing weight would combine all of these products, since together they seem to cover all of the weight loss basics. Whether they all work or not is unknown, and maintaining such a regimen could become tedious and costly.
List of IngredientsPure Hoodia contains: 400mg Hoodia Gordonii. Pure Slim diet patch contains: Fucus Vesiculosus (Bladderwrack), 5-HTP, Guarana, Zinc Pryuvate, Yerba Mate, Flaxseed Oil, Zinc Citrate, Lecithin and L-Carnitine. Cyclotrim contains: Vitamin C, Niacin, Vitamin B6, Folate, Vitamin B12, Pantothenic acid, Magnesium, Chromium, Sodium, Potassium, Guarana seed extract, Glucuronolactone, Taurine, Green tea leaf extract, Sodium bicarbonate, potassium bicarbonate, Magnesium citrate.
Product FeaturesPure Slim seems to focus heavily on perfecting their products so they only offer a handful of them on their official website, apparently opting for quality over quantity. Each product seems to be marketed to different types of dieters. The Pure Slim patch seems like it would appeal to those looking for an appetite suppressant that works all day long and is a good alternative for those who don't tolerate swallowing capsules on a daily basis. Pure Hoodia contains Hoodia Gordonii as its only ingredient so this product may appeal to those who want an all natural appetite suppressant that doesn't contain a lot of fillers. Cyclotrim seems more like an energy booster, but it does contain some ingredients commonly found in many diet products.
- The Pure Slim patch lasts throughout the day so you don't have to repeatedly swallow capsules.
- All three products available from Pure Slim contain different ingredients so you could hypothetically use them all together.
- Whether or not herbal ingredients are absorbed through the skin efficiently is unknown.
- The official Pure Slim website is pretty slim on information.
- No free trials or package deals are available from the official website.
