What is Rockin Refuel?

To begin with, Rockin Refuel is a ready-to-drink beverage. The ingredients include whey protein concentrate, lowfat milk, artificial flavor, fructose, lactase enzyme, sugar, vitamins and minerals. This is a range includes lean builder, max muscle builder, muscle recovery, and original muscle builder. You can drink these beverages before or after workouts. They provide a substantial amount of protein to help build and repair muscles, while boosting energy levels. This is supposed to help you enhance your physique, while improving your fitness goals.

Rockin Refuel has been around since at least 2011. The company behind this product is Shamrock Farms. You can purchase these protein shakes through dealers such as Publix, Kroger, Speedway, and Winn Dixie. The flavors include chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, and salted caramel. Also, these drinks provide 20-50 grams of protein per bottle, but read on…

Unpleasant Taste of Rockin Refuel – “Can You Handle It?”

One issue is the unpleasant taste. “Some people have complained about the overall flavor and texture of Rockin Refuel protein drinks. Naturally this is a concern, because if you can’t handle consuming this product regularly, you will not see the benefits,” says our Research Editor.

One customer commented, “Yuck. Not feeling this one. Tried the Rockin Refuel Max Muscle Builder in vanilla. Taste is not pleasing to my palate. No thanks.”

Then again, a different user said, “Decent protein shake for on-the-go. I take these to the gym for after workouts.”

Another commented, “Tastes good really cold. I use this as a breakfast substitute. 30 grams of protein.”

High Sugar Content – “Uh Oh”

Another concern is the high sugar content. For instance, the Rockin Refuel Muscle Recovery drink contains 40 grams of sugar per serving (11 ounces). This may actually cause you to gain body fat. One customer stated, “Too sweet for me. Tastes syrupy. I will try something else next time.”

On the other hand, a different user revealed, “I like the salted caramel flavor. A little sweet, but they usually are.”

“Smooth and creamy. I read the label. It does have a lot of sugar, but I do like the taste,” mentioned another.

Our intensive research has shown if there is some particular part of a fitness supplement or testosterone booster that is especially troublesome (unpleasant taste, high sugar content, side effects) the chances of real results that last for the long haul are not good. So, if Rockin Refuel does in fact taste bad to a lot of people, this could be a serious problem.

The Science – “Is Any Presented?”

We did not find any clinical studies presented on the official website for Rockin Refuel protein drinks. However, it’s clear that these shakes do contain a significant amount of protein per serving. Therefore they should help with muscle building and repairs. That is, if you can get past the unpleasant taste and high sugar content.

What Users Are Saying

"No vitamin taste at all, just creamy goodness. My favorite protein drink ever."

The Bottom Line – Does Rockin Refuel Work?

So, should you spend your hard-earned money on Rockin Refuel protein shakes? Well, we like that this fitness supplement contains plenty of protein per serving. It’s also nice to see that a few different flavors are available. However, we have some doubts about these drinks due to the high sugar content. Furthermore, we’re a bit concerned about the unpleasant taste some customers have mentioned.

If you really want to enhance physical performance, build more muscle mass and speed up recovery after workouts, then we suggest you go with a product that is backed by solid science, does not have an unpleasant taste and is not weighed down with sugar.

Among the best products we’ve seen this year is one called Pronabolin. This powerful formula offers nine ingredients, some of which are shown to help increase muscle strength, boost free testosterone and take your workouts to the next level. We have not discovered any user complaints at all, and customer comments posted on the web indicate people are seeing real results.

The makers of Pronabolin are so excited about their product they’re offering every customer a 120-day money-back guarantee and multiple-bottle discounts.

  •  50g Chocoalate has only 4g sugar per serving...and tastes GREAT!
    Al (Verified User)

I buy the 50g and love the chocolate one…vanilla is good too.
I’m not sure where the sugar content mentioned in the review above came from.
The 50g is 4g sugar per serving and only 11g per bottle.
As others have stated, the smaller bottle, 30g, is only 6g sugar per bottle.
Both are available ice cold at my local Sprouts Market.

  •  Make Your Own
    Babs (Verified User)

Rockin’ Refuel (recently rebranded as “Rockin’ Protein”) were good until recently. Not sure if they changed the sweetener type, or increased the amount, but they are totally unpalatable now.
I seem to think that they had aspartame in them; the label now show sucralose (Splenda), which in addition to being overly sweet, causes severe gastrointestinal distress for some people.
This stuff is now to be avoided.

  • Great tasting

Its a proteinshake, they should not taste like ice cream or cake. As long as it gives me high quality protein with little sugar. Thats why i buy the rockin refuel muscle builder protein shake which has 85% less sugar! Only 7 grams which is great. I recommend the low sugar option and the taste isn’t bad. I like vanilla but many people don’t they prefer the chocolate one. So my summary if you are gonna get it, get the low sugar option.
