Turbo 10 Review - 6 Things You Need to Know

Turbo 10 is a diet system from Nutrisystem, a well-known brand that offers various weight loss products including food, snacks, and drinks. They say you can lose 10 pounds in the first month on Turbo 10 by eating their frozen line of foods.

Our research team was skeptical that these frozen meals were enough to eliminate cravings and produce a weight loss of ten pounds. The research team dug deep to find out about these meals and if losing significant weight is possible while eating three frozen replacement meals each day. Here is a summary of our findings.

Turbo 10 can be purchased through their Official Site.

Overview

What is Turbo 10?

First of all, Turbo 10 is a meal replacement program. The ingredients or components include prepackaged shakes, frozen Nutrisystem meals, online tracking tools, expert dietitian advice, and low-calorie snacks. Supposedly, you’ll drop 10 pounds and 5 inches in your first month.

Nutrisystem, a business started in 1972, makes Turbo 10. The Basic, Core, and Uniquely Yours plan are available on the official website. We like that it comes from a trusted company and that we located some positive customer comments, but read on…

Cost

Price of Turbo 10 – “Can You Afford It?”

The first concern we have is the steep price. “The cost of Turbo 10 meal plan is $315 to $577 per month,” said our Research Editor. “Is it worth it, even if there are benefits to meal replacement programs?”

One customer said, “Spent $500 on this and it’s only for 30 days. It was a mistake. I won’t buy Turbo 10 again.”

Then again, some reviews of Turbo 10 tell a different story.

“I have lost a few pounds so far. It’s been three weeks, so it’s worth the cost,” commented a dieter.

“The cost is relative. How much did I save by not eating out,” commented another.

Unpleasant Taste – “Yikes”

Another issue is the unpleasant taste. Some customers have complained that the flavor and texture of Turbo 10 shakes is unsavory. For instance, one person revealed, “These should taste a lot better for the price. Yuck. Not good in my opinion.”

However, a different user said, “I like the chocolate Turbo 10 drinks, okay. The vanilla is bland.”

Another posted, “Tastes okay. Had some Turbo 10 side effects like gas and bloating. Just FYI.”

According to our research, if the taste of a supplement is worse than expected, the chances of long-term success are reduced. Therefore, if Turbo 10 shakes aren’t flavorful, this could be a deal breaker.

The Science – “Is Any Provided?”

At DietSpotlight, we like to see solid-science supporting claims made by a company. As for this meal replacement system, we did not find any clinical research per se. However, this diet system does involve reducing your daily calorie intake. This in turn may aid with weight reduction. Also, there are studies showing the effectiveness of meal replacements.

What Users Are Saying

“”Losing weight begins with the ability to train your body and mind with new, dietary rules. The difficult part for most people is not in this training, but what exactly the diet consists of. In this novel, the author Patrick Finn successfully teaches the reader what they must do to lose those tricky 10 or 20 pounds, and in a relatively fast time. He does so with science, mathematical formulas and a handful of fantastic guidelines.””

“”I feel like I’ve been thoroughly educated on the ins and outs of weight loss. The author doesn’t just lay out his 10 day diet plan, he also delves into the science of why people get fat and how they can shed pounds. I have wondered how these celebrities seem to gain and drop weight like it’s no problem, and now I’m thinking that they are doing something like the 10 Day Turbo Diet.””

“”I would give this book a 3.5 stars, though I really did enjoy the information and would possibly use this diet after my pregnancy to get back into shape and lose weight quickly, I also found myself wandering off while reading””

The Bottom Line – Does Turbo 10 Work?

2 Turbo 10 Reviews

  • To Freeze or Not to Freeze
    Lydia M. Gordon (Verified Purchase)

I just started the Nutrisystem diet plan. Upon arrival of the food, I opened the styrofoam box which contained the “frozen food.” There were no instructions in the styrofoam box. There were about 6 boxes of obviously frozen food, which I immediately placed in the freezer. The rest of items, about 25 small bags which I did not examine, I left in the styrofoam box with the dry ice. I didn’t realize that all the items in the styrofoam box needed to be refrigerated or frozen. Besides, I don’t have the space in my refrigerator to store all these items. And even if I could store the items in my refrigerator, how would I be able to find what I wanted with all these bags of food on the refrigerator shelves. Now that I’m at the end of the turbo 5-day crash diet, I opened the styrofoam box only to find that the bags contained meat products and other items that should have been refrigerated. I certainly cannot eat these items now, but I do think there should have instructions in the box as to what items needed refrigeration and what items needed to be frozen. While Nutrisystem agreed to replace the spoiled food, I think there should have been instructions in the box as to which foods needed to be frozen and/or refrigerated immediately.

Nutrisystems sends instructions in your receipt and also the shipping info a couple times via email. Not trying to get under your skin, but it’s made very clear you will first receive the Turbo (5 or 10), and the frozen foods would be sent seperately, so whatever in in the box should obviosly be frozen. It also mentions on the website to be sure you have room for the frozen foods prior to ordering. Good luck.
