What You Should Know
Body by Jake is a company known for premier fitness equipment. For more than 30 years Jake Steinfeld as channeled his “Don’t Quit” into all of his products. Not to be outdone by the competition, Steinfeld introduced the Body by Jake Rocker, a product designed to focus training on the major muscles of the lower body.
We found the product makes erroneous claims of spot reduction in as little as 3 minutes a day. We know that spot reduction is a myth, so we wonder if Steinfeld know this as well?
List of Ingredients.
Seated exercise machine designed to work the major muscles in the lower body.
The Body by Jake Rocker is an inclined chair that moves the body in an arc creating tension on the buns and thighs. The attached resistance bands increase the intensity of the workouts. The machine is designed to work the muscle groups of the lower body.
We did not find a specific weight capacity or height recommendation for the Body by Jake Rocker. This is a major safety concern. A dieter looking for fitness equipment should be informed of the limitations of the product prior to purchase. The machine does not address the height of an individual. We found the compact size of the Body by Jake Rocker will not provide an adequate range of motion for the taller individual.
We like the compact size of the Body by Jake Rocker. Although it is not portable, the Body by Jake Rocker takes up approximately 4 feet. We found assembly takes less than 60 minutes, so a dieter has the opportunity to exercise within minutes of assembly.
The price of the Body by Jake Rocker concerns us. At $200, the Body by Jake Rocker is definitely not a value. The resistance bands are extra, so the overall cost of the machine easily exceeds $250. This is expensive considering the machine is designed for one specific region of the body and does not offer cardiovascular exercises.
- Includes an instructional guide.
- No longer available on the official website.
- Will not increase overall weight loss.
- Resistance bands cost additional money.
- Not designed for taller individuals.

We know that spot reduction is a myth and any product claiming that is misleading the consumer. The Body by Jake Rocker claims to “spot reduce” the trouble area of the buns and thighs. What we found is there is no scientific research supporting the claims. We also found the Body by Jake Rocker claims to produce results with a mere three minute daily workout. Even the most advanced cardiovascular routine would produce a small amount of weight loss. The Body by Jake Rocker does not offer any cardiovascular benefits.
The price of the Body by Jake Rocker is a concern as well, especially since it is no longer available on the official website. At $200, the Body by Jake Rocker is overpriced compared to similar machines. In the event a dieter wanted additional weight bands, the price increases by an additional $50.
Body by Jake products are well known, but the Body by Jake Rocker is something a dieter should reconsider prior to purchase.
