The majority of weight loss programs insist upon a rigid exercise regimen, but for many people, exercise triggers persistent muscle and joint pain. Therefore, despite the best of intentions, these weight loss programs fall to the wayside because the pain outweighs the gain. You have other options, though, besides giving up on weight loss entirely: 1) You could find a type of exercise that does not aggravate your muscles and joints, or, 2) You could use a product that helps to mitigate the pain. Flex-Power is such a product. This topical cream claims to prevent and relieve pain caused by arthritis, stress, exercise, and injury.

Founders Rasheen Smith and Bejan Esmalli became disenchanted with oral pain relievers as they saw the adverse side effects they caused specifically for athletes. As a result of this discontentment, Smith and Esmalli began exploring the realm of topical pain relievers. Their endeavors led them to create Flex-Power, which launched onto the market in 2001. Their website features a multitude of testimonials from professional athletes, current and retired, as well as lay athletes and other common people who use the cream. The company sponsors several athletic events and organizations.

List of Ingredients

Trolamine salicylate (active ingredient), Butylene Glycol, Acetyl Glucosamine, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Ceteareth-20, Cyclotetrasiloxane, Cetearyl Alcohol, Dimethicone, Disodium EDTA, Glyceryl Stearate, Fragrance, Imidazolidinyl, Urea, Lecithin, Isopropyl Palmitate, Methyl Sulfonyl Methane, PEG-100 Stearate, Potassium Sorbate, Phenoxyethanol, Purified Water, Vanillyl Butyl Ether, Tocopheryl Acetate, Xanthan Gum.

Product Features

Flex-Power uses nanotechnology with liposomes in order to deliver pain relief quickly through the skin. Liposomes are small capsules that can penetrate the skin with relative ease. These liposomes are filled with the active ingredient trolamine salicylate for pain relief on sight. The website provides a graphic and animation of the absorption process.

The cream is designed for use either to prevent or to relieve pain. To prevent pain, apply the cream on muscles and joints 10-30 minutes before exercise. To relieve pain, apply cream to affected areas after exercise, after showering, or any time pain occurs. Do not apply Flex-Power more than four times each day.

  • This product is available only at select retail locations as well as online.

Conclusion

Flex-Power never claims to aid weight loss. In fact, this subject is never addressed on the official website. While it may be useful to people who are exercising on a weight loss program, its role in weight loss is minor.
