What You Should Know
Mega T Weight Loss Acai is a green tea supplement sold in many major retailers. The supplement can be purchased for as little as $4 for a two-week supply, which is unheard of in the weight loss industry. The CCA company that manufactures Mega T Weight Loss Acai lost a lawsuit in 2010 for making false claims on packing of Mega T Weight Loss Acai and other Mega T products. Despite those false statements, there are some good ingredients in the supplement.
List of Ingredients
Proprietary Blend: Green Tea Leaf, Acai Fruit, Hoodia Gordonii, Yerba Mate Leaf, Guarana Seed Extract, Uva Ursi, Capsicum Fruit, Polygonum Cuspidatum Root, Green Coffee Bean and Fucoxanthin-rich Seaweed.

The proprietary blend also starts off with a strong, proven weight loss ingredient green tea. There is 600 mg of green tea which provides 50 mg of caffeine and 90 mg of EGCG. Capsicum fruit is a chili pepper. Chili peppers have been in the news lately for their ability to increase metabolism and fat burn.
The remaining ingredients is where CCA went downhill with Mega T Weight Loss Acai. Guarana and Yerba Mate are both additional stimulants. We have no idea how much is included so we cannot judge the effect on the body. Uva ursi is a diuretic. Most often diuretics are included to make it look like the dieter is losing weight when they are only losing water weight.
Polygonum Cuspidatum Root or Resveratrol may be helpful in reducing cholesterol and improving heart health, but it is not linked to weight loss in clinical studies. Fucoxanthin-rich Seaweed is currently being studied for its effect on weight loss. Lab rats reduced abdominal fat by 5 to 10% taking Fucoxanthin.
