pSARM by LG Sciences claims to use the natural anabolic abilities of muscles to increase muscle gains and lean muscle mass. SARMs are used in place of illegal steroids. According to the product description, pSARMs work like testosterone in the body. More testosterone means more muscle and a faster metabolism. If pSARMs work in this manner, women should not take the supplement because throwing the estrogen / testosterone balance off by increasing testosterone can have harmful effects on the reproductive system.

List of Ingredients

Metabolism Complex: Stinging Nettle Root, Ellagic Acid, Piperine, Quercetin, Yohimbine.

Product Features

Before taking a look at the ingredients in pSARM, it is important to note that there are no SARMs. LG Sciences uses this term nearly exclusively and seems to be a creation of that manufacturer. The ingredient list looks similar to other supplements, but typically only supplements used to increase male libido.

Eurycoma longfolia is tongkat ali. Tongkat ali has been used for decades to increase male libido. Many bodybuilding supplements claiming to increase testosterone use libido enhancing ingredients claiming the increase in libido is caused by an increase in testosterone, but that is just not the case.

Hibiscus rosa-sinesisis more often used to treat pain associated with menstruation in women than boost testosterone in men. There are two small studies that claim rats showed a possible testosterone increase, but they were given huge doses of the ingredient. No human studies have reproduced the effect on men.

Zingiber officinale is just ginger root. Ginger is commonly included in supplements to increase the absorption of the supplement. There is no muscle building or weight loss benefits of this supplement.

Stinging nettle root is commonly used to treat prostate problems naturally. There have been studies linking stinging nettle to increased free testosterone, but no studies have been completed to prove this effect. Ellagic acid and Quercetin are included in pSARM because they may bind to testosterone and stop metabolism from breaking it down thus increasing free testosterone. There are no human studies to back up this effect.

Yohimbine is another male libido type ingredient that appears in many weight loss supplements. We could find no positive studies supporting its use in these supplements, however. Piperine is the final ingredient and that is just another name for black pepper. Black pepper may help increase absorption and boost metabolism just a bit.

pSARM is no longer available from LG Sciences as a new formula Methyl 1-D pSARM is not being marketed.

  • A few animal studies support some of pSARMs ingredients.

  • None of the ingredients are proven to work as claimed in humans.
  • The product has been reformulated and is being sold with a different name.

pSARM was not the best product created by LG Sciences. All of the claims are made on false information and animal studies. This could be why the company decided to reformulate the product.
