type 1 diabetic. Will the frutctose and maltodextrin have an effect of raising my blood sugar? Should this be taken as a meal replacement only? Will it have an effect on my blood sugar if I were to take it 2X a day as a snack?

My chiropractor put me on Ultra GlycemX to help prevent my blood sugar numbers (which have been creeping upward) from becoming diabetic 2 levels. Is this a good idea or just a bandaid? I need to lose weight as well so I’m hoping to take off 40 or 50 pounds. This might lower my blood sugar in and of itself. Any suggestions or advise?
