Acutrim Maintenance Review
What You Should Know
Acutrim Maintenance is a multi-vitamin for dieters. When reducing calories the dieter may lose out on nutrients found in food. Acutrim Maintenance adds all the nutrients the dieter needs so they can eat less, move more and maintain optimal health. The official website for Acutrim does not list the Maintenance multi-vitamin, but we found it for sale on various third-party vitamin shops online.
List of Ingredients
Biotin, Riboflavin, Vitamin B12, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Calcium, Vitamin D, Niacin, Pantothenic Acid, Magnesium, Zinc, Vitamin K, Iodine, Selenium, Chromium, Iron, Manganese, Vitamin B6, Folate and Copper.
Acutrim Maintenance Blend: Mate Leaf Standardized Extract, Green Tea Leaf Standardized Extract (Provides 36 mg EGCG and 10 mg Caffeine), Panax Ginseng Root Standardized Extract, Chocolate (Cocoa Bean) Extract and Bladderwrack Kelp.
The initial list of ingredients is the same vitamins and minerals found in a common multi-vitamin. The dieter will not gain any weight loss or maintenance support from these vitamins, but they will help support optimal health and replace any vitamins missing from foods.
The Acutrim Maintenance Blend is the heart of the supplement. Mate leaf extract is Yerba Mate. Yerba Mate is a stimulant that increases heart rate and blood pressure. There is no clinical proof this ingredient will increase weight loss or help the dieter maintain weight loss.
Green tea leaf is proven with clinical studies to increase metabolism, among other healthy benefits. There are no clinical studies listed on the retailer website. When a company sells a supplement with proven ingredients, it is important to show clinical support.
Panax ginseng may help boost brain activity and memory. There are no weight loss benefits associated with ginseng. Cocoa bean is another stimulant. It is in the same xanthine category as caffeine.
The final ingredient is Bladderwrack Kelp. Bladderwrack is a diuretic used to reduce water retention. This is not a weight loss ingredient nor will it help the dieter maintain weight loss.
- All ingredients are listed online.
- The product is created to help dieters maintain weight loss.
- Contains green tea, proven to increase weight loss.
- Not available for sale from the Acutrim website.
- Contains multiple stimulants.
- Contains a diuretic.
Acutrim Maintenance is not a weight loss supplement though the ingredient list contains several ingredients commonly used to promote weight loss. There is a diuretic in the formula, which is not safe to use for weight loss or weight maintenance. Dieters should be wary before taking a supplement that contains multiple stimulants. This can cause negative side effects like jitters, nausea and increased heart rate. If the dieter wants to support health and maintain weight loss, they should continue the same exercise and eating plan that helped them lose weight.
