Rachel Begun has a passion for food, good health and people. She has a saying, “Aspire to Inspire.” She inspired us so she’s one of our nutritionists to watch.
Begun earned a B.A. in Biology with a concentration in pre-medical studies from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. She earned her M.S. degree in Nutrition Education from Columbia University, which is also where she completed her dietetic internship. She also received a natural chef certificate in Boulder, Colorado’s Bauman College.
Rachel is a nationally-recognized nutrition expert and a former contributor who has written health related articles for numerous publications, including:

She is currently a contributing editor for Food Management magazine.
Rachel is a member of many food and nutrition associations. She sits on the Board of Directors at Los Angeles’ Garden School Foundation, is a Scientific/Medical Advisory Council Member for the organization, Beyond Celiac and is an Expert Panel Member for the United States Healthful Food Council.
Currently, Ms. Begun consults for organizations, helping them transition into healthier and more sustainable food practices. She works for companies from all aspects of the food service industry, including food service and hospitality providers, marketing agencies and commodity boards. She specializes in assisting these companies in creating a better nutrition strategy and platform that is best suited for their company mission and their unique market contributions.
