Product Features

GeoPalz is a basic pedometer to allow children to log the number of steps the take through walking, running, and generally playing every day. These steps are logged online and tallied accordingly, with prizes and certificates given out when the child reaches certain milestones. For instance, children can get a certificate to show how many miles they’ve walked within a time frame, or how many days in a row they’ve been using the system. You can find them in a variety of styles, to appeal to nearly any child at any age. Some examples of what’s available include: sports, animals, peace, rock, earthy, cutesy, and edgy. You can buy online or see if you can locate them in a local store. Each one will cost $19.99.

  • This does not discuss healthy eating. It only serves to get kids moving.
  • This is not really designed for weight loss.
  • There is a fee associated with using the site.
  • Parents must pay shipping and handling charges on the prize items their children opt to receive.

GeoPalz seems like it could be a good motivational tool to help get your children moving, but for weight loss purposes, do not rely on it alone. It will not be a very effective tool for an adult, but the concept of a reward system for sticking to your goals is still a valid one. If your child is overweight, do not place him or her on a diet without medical supervision, as this could be harmful to his or her growth and overall development. If you, as an adult, have weight to lose, then focus on a clinically proven safe and effective weight loss supplement in the form of an appetite suppressant or fat burner, along with a balanced diet and regular exercise routine.
